Position
We are currently hiring an intern looking for a Winter term position, January to April 2026 in our Winnipeg office. Candidates in an undergraduate program that will be returning to school after their internship are eligible to apply.
 
Responsibilities: 

Work with leader to create manual test cases in Zephyr.
Execute automated test suite and report on results.
Leverage analytic skills to investigate and document bugs.

 
Requirements: 

Currently enrolled in a relevant post-secondary education program
Basic understanding of any programming language.
Interest and passion for a career in technology
Demonstrated leadership skills
Creativity and innovation
Ability to work well in a team environment and independently
Analytical and problem solving skills
Effective organizational and multi-tasking skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

The Role:
The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Strategy Execution plays a pivotal role in driving the execution of key strategic priorities within IG Wealth Management. Reporting to the VP, Advisor Experience Strategy & Insights, this role will be responsible for executing strategic initiatives, supporting the strategic planning process and facilitating collaboration with Department Heads. The role will contribute to ensuring alignment across the organization, monitoring progress, and driving initiatives that enhance the Client and Advisor experience and contribute to the overall success of IG Wealth Management.
 
Responsibilities:
Strategic Execution

Oversee a subset of strategic projects from development through successful execution, liaising with leadership teams across IG Wealth Management to understand business requirements, assess expected business benefits, ROI, sequencing, and dependencies to support prioritization.

Oversee Strategic Initiative Benefits Realization Management, including identifying, tracking, and sustaining key performance indicators, scorecards, and conducting initiative/program/project/portfolio-level reviews.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the strategic execution framework.

Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in strategy execution and share insights with the team.

Strategic Planning Support

Review, design, and implement ongoing improvements in IG Wealth Management’s Planning Framework, including Annual Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, Long-Range Strategic Planning, and Performance Measurement.

Support planning preparations for Board Strategy sessions.

Support the development and refinement of IG Wealth Management’s rolling 3-year strategic plans, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather input from key stakeholders and foster collaboration in the strategic planning process.

Assist in conducting market research, competitive analysis, and internal assessments to inform strategic decision-making.

Governance & Oversight

Contribute to the preparation of IGWM Strategy Execution Oversight Committee (SEOC) meetings and processes, including review and approval of strategic initiative business cases, resource commitments, and stage gate funding.

Oversee the development and application of the Strategic Initiative business case review and authorization framework.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with Department Heads and other key stakeholders to align strategic priorities and ensure effective communication across the organization.

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners to drive collaboration and support the execution of strategic initiatives.

Contribute to the development of presentations and reports for senior management and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 7 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or a related field, with a focus on strategic execution and project management.

Proven experience in leading the execution of strategic initiatives.

Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and analyze data, identify trends, and develop recommendations.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and facilitate collaboration.

Experience in the financial services industry with a detailed understanding of the Wealth Management business is an asset.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Knowledge of program management methodologies and tools

Position (details)
Reporting to the AVP Procurement Services, the Director Market Data Management is responsible for leading the Market Data Management Team in developing and executing market data strategies and driving cost-saving initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of market data management practices (incl. vendors in the marketplace), strong leadership skills and experience with TRG Screen.
 
Responsibilities:

Facilitate development of IGM’s market data strategy
Explore innovative industry solutions to reduce market data consumption
Lead a team of Market Data professionals in providing market data vendor management, strategy & governance and sourcing related activities to meet stakeholder objectives
Work with market data consumers across the enterprise to understand needs and identify opportunities to manage demand and reduce duplication
Identify duplicative data sources and options to reuse data to avoid redundant queries
Review usage of niche providers that can be moved to a more ubiquitous firm to drive scale and cost efficiencies
Look for ways to maximize what we have (i.e. manage the value we get)
Make connections across IGM user groups (i.e. best practices; one group to provide the data to other groups) to optimize enterprise spend
Analyze and drive insights from TRG Screen market data subscription management platform
Provide transparent management level reporting by department and vendors (usage, spend, etc.)
Understand and enforce procurement and contracting processes and policies, adopt usage of  the procurement platform for supplier management and contract activities
Work with Finance on appropriate allocation of costs to drive transparency and decision-making (non-market-data items should be moved to other cost centers)
Develop data-related reporting/dashboards to use in making informed decisions to optimize usage, renew contracts, and promote cost efficiencies
Inform impacted users of changes to a given service
Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing on supplier selection processes when required and consult, as required, on strategies for upcoming contract renewals 
Assess compliance with licensing agreements by conducting regular audits and provide advice for third-party initiated audits
Facilitate the monthly Market Data Council meeting

Requirements:

University degree in Business Management (BBA, BComm, MBA) or finance
Minimum 15 years of work experience (ideally within the financial services industry) with at least 5 years of related market data management experience with a focus on strategy and cost reduction
Experienced people leader who can effectively coach and mentor a team, set appropriate annual targets and drive results
Able to hold conversations with executives, build relationships at all levels and “stir the pot” to encourage stakeholders to think differently
Understands requirements of front and back offices, and the appropriate market solutions
Strong proficiency in service subscription inventory systems (preferably TRG Screen)
Successfully navigate ambiguity and varying management styles
Strong organizational skills, proactive, self-starter with a sense of accountability
Able to multi-task and independently prioritize tasks
Detail oriented with strong analytical skills, ready to analyze complex data, identify trends and make data-driven recommendations
Excellent written/oral communication skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Advanced Excel & PowerPoint)
