Position 

We are currently hiring an intern looking for a Fall term position, September to December 2025 in our Winnipeg Office. Candidates in an undergraduate program that will be returning to school after their internship are eligible to apply. 

  

The Architecture Community of Practice at IGM is made up of dedicated leaders who establish a set of technical patterns and standards to provide a foundation to enable modern, simple, digitized processes in support of changing business needs and strategy over time.   The Architects and Analysts in the Architecture Community of Practice collaborate with our Corporate, Digital, Infrastructure, Delivery and Operations teams to understand the foundational technology needs that will support IGM’s business strategy and the delivery of required platforms and solutions The Architecture Community of Practice includes representation from Digital and Corporate Platforms, Integration and Automation, Data Office, Security Architecture, Network Architecture, End User Infrastructure, DevOps and Architecture Governance. 

  

As an intern, you will work with various members of team and will have an opportunity to contribute to the Community of Practice. 

  

Responsibilities: 

Investigation and analysis of systems and data to support problem solving 

Engage with CoP members to complete analysis and investigation tasks that contribute to improving internal processes 

Engage with Solution Architects and Delivery Leadership and related stakeholders to complete analysis and investigation tasks that contribute to Architecture Governance 

Gain both business and technical knowledge, that is required to compete assigned tasks and define/implement solutions that effectivity support technology teams 

Participate in production and coordination of communication activities within the Architecture Community of Practice and the Delivery Organization 

  

Requirements: 

Enrolled in a business or computer science program 

Ability to work independently and within a team environment 

Ability to analyze, investigate and solve problems 

Ability to analyze and interpret data 

Capability to establish and maintain effective partnerships and relationships 

Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation) 

Positive attitude, keeping a constant watch on how to do things better 

Adaptability and a willingness to take on new challenges 

Knowledge of tools and technologies (e.g. SharePoint, Confluence, Office 365, JIRA) 

Knowledge of cloud services (Azure, GCP, AWS) is an advantage 

Knowledge of reporting and visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI is an advantage 

Knowledge of diagraming and UML tools like Visio, Draw.io, Lucidchart, etc is an advantage 

Knowledge of Generative AI best practices is an advantage

Position:

Responsibilities:  

Work with lead to design, develop and maintain automated scripts. 

Execute automated test suite and report on results. 

Leverage analytic skills to investigate and document bugs. 

 

Requirements:  

Currently enrolled in a relevant post-secondary education program  

Basic understanding of any programming language.

IG Private Company Advisory (PCA) provides strategic financial advisory services to private businesses with transaction values typically ranging from $10 million to $500 million, specializing in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, and corporate finance transactions. Our team partners with business owners, investors, and stakeholders to deliver tailored financial solutions.

 

Position Overview
The Vice President, PCA will lead M&A and corporate finance transactions, providing strategic advisory to business owners while managing execution and business development efforts. This role requires expertise in client engagement, business and financial analysis, transaction structuring, and negotiation.

 

Key Responsibilities

Manage business valuation, pitch preparation, CIM and financial model preparation, deal marketing, deal structuring and negotiation, due diligence, and closing processes.

Oversee end-to-end execution of M&A and corporate finance transactions.

Advise business owners on growth strategies, capital raising, exit planning, and liquidity solutions.

Develop and manage relationships with business owners/manager, strategic and financial buyers, institutional investors and lenders.

Lead and mentor junior team members in financial modeling, pitch and transaction materials preparation.

Coordinate with legal, accounting, and tax advisors for seamless transaction execution.

Drive business development efforts by identifying and pursuing new opportunities.

Lead client meetings and presentations with senior executives.

Qualifications & Experience

Strong track record in executing M&A and corporate finance transactions.

Experience advising business owners and working on middle-market deals.

Established relationships with private equity firms, investors, and lenders.

Proficient in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction structuring.

Proficient with technology, data and analytical tools.

Strong leadership, team management, and client relationship skills.

Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment.

CFA, CPA, MBA, CBV or equivalent designation(s) are preferred.

We are currently looking for a Scrum Master to join the IGM Technology – Digital team within IGM Financial. The Scrum Master will be part of an exciting new initiative focused on modernizing our Contact Centers for both Investors Group and Mackenzie Investments. The Scrum Master will work with a newly formed team, to deliver new features for our Contact Centers. This role requires someone with strong leadership skills experienced at tailoring communications for all levels of the organization including executives. A track record of successfully navigating an environment that consists of Agile, non-Agile and vendor teams is critical. The ability to take an organizational view is needed to ensure alignment between business readiness and technology, to facilitate successful Product releases.

Key Accountabilities

Partner with the Product Owner and delivery leadership to ensure feedback loops are in place and communicate the necessary information to all stakeholders, and team members (e.g. product vision, roadmap, priorities, team projections, team progress, challenges, etc.)

Support the Delivery Leader in daily delivery and execution (e.g. providing metrics to support budget management)

Build a trusting partnership with the Product Owner

Coach the Product Owner and Development Team in Product Backlog Prioritization, Story Readiness and Refinement activities

Ensure coordination of the Scrum team’s work with non-Agile delivery teams, vendors and business change management

Facilitate Scrum events, helping team to understand the purpose and value of each event, and the need to stay timeboxed

Ensure shared understanding, and open lines of communication between the Product Owner and the Development Team.

Help remove impediments to the Development Team’s progress, and work with the Scrum team, outside teams, vendors and the organization’s leadership on ways to avoid future impediments

Ensure direct and constant communication across the team, and ensure remote team members remain visible

Thoughtfully identify learning moments to educate team, stakeholders and leaders on the Scrum Pillars, Values, and framework

Encourage self-organization and cross-functionality within the Development Team

Lead and coach the organization in its’ Scrum adoption with the goal of improving organizational agility and developing high performing teams that deliver value to our customers

Advocate and develop a learning mindset across all members of the team

Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum within the organization.

Ensure Timely Delivery: Guarantee that all sprints are completed on time and meet the defined goals and quality standards.

Quality Assurance: Ensure that all deliverables meet the highest quality standards and adhere to the project requirements.

 

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

Required Business Knowledge: Financial Services Industry, Contact Center Operations

Required Technical Knowledge: Salesforce Service Cloud

Minimum 4 – 6 years of experience in a Scrum Master role, with a corresponding certification (CSM, PSM, SSM)

Experience working with senior level executives, and tailoring communications appropriately

Experience working with teams that are new to Agile

Experience working in an organization with both Agile and non-Agile teams

Experience working and coordinating with software vendors

A growth mindset – believes in ‘Yet or Not Yet’ instead of ‘Success or Failure’

Ability to give and receive feedback

Ability to communicate with people at all levels of the organization
