Data Analyst / Data Engineer

This hybrid data analyst and data engineer role will lead the analysis and design of a big data platform pipeline with data from multiple internal and external data sources, managing large data sets, and working with machine learning technologies to create a model runtime for batch and real-time event processing. Work with stakeholders with data-related issues and support their data infrastructure needs.

 Connaissance des langages Javascript et Typescript,
 Connaissance Front End : Angular, Angular Material, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap
 Bonne compréhension des architectures API REST
 Connaissance des outils tels que Jenkins, Bitbucket, Git, NPM, Jira, Confluence, Protractor, Sonar

Autres exigences:
 Connaissance d’un ou plusieurs des domaines : Manufacturier, Commercial, Retail, Secteur Public
 Expérience en développement de projet web et de transformation digital
 Connaissance de la méthodologie agile (Scrum, DAD Discipline Agile Delivery)
 Au moins 5 ans d’expérience professionnelle pertinente
 Sens de l’initiative
 Avoir le gout d’apprendre et de se perfectionner
 Préférablement bilingue (français et anglais)

Test data / ETL

CGI provides business process services, hosting, operations, maintenance and support for one of our large banking client on a number of critical line of business. As part of the services we are providing for the customer and expanding out business, the candidate will work closely with the client and the delivery leads, and will be accountable for a deliveries of the task that will be assigned which includes business requirement capturing and document creation, solution requirement document creation and also lead the JAD/POD sessions. Delivery will be located in the Toronto area and the candidate is also expected to work at the same location along with the client team. Travel is not anticipated though may be periodically required.

As the Senior Data/ETL Test Analyst, you will lead the activities associated with designing, building and executing quality test scripts in a digital environment and using your experience to help mentor the team in creating quality test scripts. Key Responsibilities:
• Leading the integration and testing of the data streams including data migration, data warehousing, reporting and API/Web Services
• Support creation of Test Strategies & Test Plans
• Develop and maintain test cases, automated scripts, and traceability matrices based on approved Test Scenarios
• Perform Backend Testing using SQL Scripts with SQL Queries to verify the integrity of the Database
• Perform manual and automated testing and generate Defect Reports
• Create Data Mapping and Data Flow graphs for the data transfers from various sources
• Facilitate the identification and preparation of test data
• Ensure quality processes are followed
• Execute system and integration test scripts
• Detect, log, and retest defects
• Participate and contribute to the Lessons Learned Sessions
• Participate in knowledge transition activities
• Communicate progress of testing activities to the program lead or directly to client
• Produce “client” and “internal” status reports
• Maintain a solid understanding of software testing best practices, methodologies, and terminologies
• Coach and mentor other members

Nice to Have Requirements:
• Knowledge and experience working specifically in the retail banking and/or credit union space
• ISTQB Certified Foundation Level with Agile extension (and/or other industry recognized testing certifications)
• Experience with (2+) industry standard automation test tools (ex. Selenium, SoapUI, Micro Focus UFT, ParaSoft SOATest)
• Experience in testing API/Web Services
• Experience in cloud testing using AWS or Azure

Required Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Software Testing using Manual, ETL and Automation Testing techniques using with expertise in data migration, data warehousing and reporting
• Experience with (1+) industry standard test/team management tools (ex. JIRA, Micro Focus ALM)
• Experience writing SQL scripts
• Proficient in End-End Testing: including Test Planning, Test Designing, Test Execution, and Defect Reporting
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact directly with Client Stakeholders, Senior Management, and/or our technology partners

Required Level of Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science OR Diploma in IT with equivalent IT experience
