Job Purpose: The AVP Data Technical Architecture is tasked with steering the technical architecture direction for the Data Office. This includes overseeing new technology investments, innovation, and the placement of data functionality across the organization. It also involves creation, maintenance and improvements to patterns used to develop all parts of the overall IGM Data Platform solution. The role involves close collaboration with Enterprise Architecture, IT Risk, and the various leaders within the IGM Data Office to define guiding principles, standards, and patterns for the Data Office across IGM.
 

Responsibilities:

Technology Alignment (15%): Align technology standards and best practices with business outcomes. This involves working closely with SVPs/EVPs to implement new technology capabilities and function placements. The role also requires staying updated with industry trends and anticipating advancements in technology.

Technical Solutions Oversight (40%): Oversee all technical solutions for the Data Office. This includes developing architecture standards for technology, reviewing all development designs for technical and engineering aspects, and approving solution architectures for the Data Office.

Technology Standards Setting (25%): Set technology standards for the Data Office in collaboration with Risk, Security, and Enterprise Architecture. This also involves software selection, managing the delivery methodology and enhancements, including educating and training resources across Technology.

Estimates & Resource Allocations (20%): Partner with Data Architecture to develop estimates for Data Office work and manage a team of approximately 3 Data Solution Architects.

 

Key Accountabilities:

Represent Data at the Architecture Review Board and associated Enterprise Architecture meetings/workshops

Work with Enterprise Architecture to ensure new data patterns adhere to enterprise design patterns and standards.

Engage with external partners to understand new and current technologies to

Ensure all designs and architectures developed by Data Office staff meet internal design standards.

Create and maintain Data Office related roadmap items to support ongoing evolution of the Data Platforms at IGM

Engage with senior business leaders and project stakeholders on strategic projects/initiatives

Ensure pragmatic Data Platform solutions balance architecture and delivery opportunities/necessities.

Identify technical debt within the Data Platform solutions and working with the CDO and other Data Office management ensure that these are addressed in a timely manner

Develop and support the growth of the Solution Architects, Developers, Analysts and Platform Specialists working in the Data Office

What is the position?

The Auditor, Business Audit is an integral part of the Internal Audit team, who will provide assurance, insight and proactive control advice to Management and stakeholders on controls, efficiencies, and risks by participating in the planning, execution, and reporting of audit engagements.

POSITION SUMMARY:  

The Client Tax Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring the compliant oversight of tax collection, administration, reconciliation, and remittance to regulatory bodies such as CRA, MRQ, and IRS. This role involves managing the production and accuracy of tax receipts and overseeing tax-based project deliverables. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of tax regulations, and the ability to work effectively within a team to ensure seamless tax operations and compliance. Assist in researching and validating regulatory requirements for new or established tax policies. Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and ensure the team is informed and compliant.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience gained in the financial services industry. Demonstrated experience in tax operations, accounting, or a related field. Experience with CRA, MRQ, and IRS regulations is highly desirable.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in tax software (e.g. TaxPrep, Avantax, 1099/1042 Pro), RBroker and financial systems. Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data analysis tools.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements. Knowledge of tax reporting and reconciliation processes. Taxation and QI experience including filing and gathering relevant supporting documentation.

Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to conduct detailed audits and reconciliations.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex tax concepts to internal teams and to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Advisor will provide financial planning advice and ongoing client servicing to a segment of client accounts nationally. The Advisor will ensure that regulatory compliance requirements are adhered to in all their activities. This position is also responsible for delivering financial planning advice and an outstanding client experience.

 

DUTIES INCLUDE:

Manage day-to-day priorities servicing inbound/outbound client, proactive campaigns and retention activities.

Provide financial planning advice – assist with estate planning, debt management, insurance and mortgage.

Meet all standards of financial planning and advice and ensure regulatory guidelines are adhered to during all interactions.

Position

The successful candidate will join the Reporting & Analytics team within the Business Management Office. As a team we provide analytical and reporting services that help assess Technology service performance and overall user experience. The Role:

We are looking for an experienced individual who will be a key member of the IT Risk Team. The team is responsible to work inside and outside the organization providing third-party and internal risk assessment services. The Role:

As a member of our Corporate Solutions Technology team at IGM, you will be joining a highly collaborative group with experience in and passion for delivering innovative solutions for our clients, advisors, and employees using the latest technology and insights. 

 

This role works closely with business sponsors and business representatives to capture the systems objectives, evaluate the business case, and define solutions that are in alignment with the organizational system architecture. This role also works with Project Managers, Systems Architects, and Software Developers in a shared responsibility for project evaluation, quality and completion. The successful candidate will be working on our Finance, Audit and Risk team, and will be responsible for configuring SAP ECC Finance modules; specifically, FI, AP, AR, CO, MM.  Our SAP ERP environment is ECC 6.0 Enhancement Pkg 8.  Detailed knowledge of impacts to SAP configuration is required to support sustainment and project delivery.   

Candidate will have 10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Configuration and Systems Analysis with large Program experience.
