The Team The Provincial Rapattack Operations Centre is located next to the airport in Salmon Arm. The main objective of the Rapattack program is to quickly and effectively suppress small fires in remote, and/or difficult to access locations. The Team At the Kamloops Fire Centre, you’ll join a dynamic and established team of diverse individuals dedicated to working together towards a common goal of wildfire management and safety. Our team comprises both Unit crews, comprised of 22 people, and Initial Attack crews, made up of 4, with initial attack bases hosting between 18 and 52 members. As a part of this team, you’ll collaborate with professionals in wildfire prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery from across the province. The Team The Indigenous Cultural Care Team (ICCT) is part of the Ministry of Children and Family Development and works in partnership with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities to ensure children in care remain connected to their culture and identity. The team includes five Roots Practitioners, one Team Leader, and three contracted Elders, all committed to fostering cultural safety, community relationships, and meaningful connections for Indigenous children and youth.
