We are looking for a senior manager who will be responsible to uphold and corroborate the implementation of strategic and tactic initiatives that support QC strategic plan. This position will play a key role with our QC growth programs and activities such as; develop external partnerships to drive industry candidates hiring and visibility, develop external and internal education and training to increase knowledge on core competencies for Mass Affluent and High Net Worth and further advance our distinctive value proposition. This position will report to the Director, Quebec Planning and Support and will work across divisions.

 

Duties include :

Responsible for a thorough implementation of tactics and initiatives to achieve the gains set out in the Quebec strategic plan; client acquisition, share of wallet, talent acquisition and visibility.

Identify, lead and increase ROI on strategic partnerships

Ensure productive relationship with key industry stakeholders

Identify and implement business development opportunities that support Quebec strategic talent acquisition strategies; internships, industry relationships and visibility; finance MTL, APFF, IQPF, CTEQ, CPA, …..

Evaluate and provide recommendations to QC executive team on Quebec internal and external environment factors that can potentially improve or impact our strategic plan.

Generate ideas and opportunities for key programs such as sales advisory support and practice management programs for Mass Affluent and High Net Worth clients that will resonate with target advisor audience and foster sales growth.

Steer and execute the development of a comprehensive educational program on core competencies to strengthen advice and drive superior advice to five key occupation groups, such as; business owners, professionals, executives, farmers/fishermen and pre-retirees/retirees.

Qualifications :

University degree/diploma in relevant business discipline

Plan.Fin. designation is an asset

5-year experience in the financial services industry

In-depth knowledge and understanding of financial services industry, sales/distribution

Knowledge on Saleforces is an asset

Proven ability to build strong relationships

Knowledge of Salesforce is an asset.

Data driven and result oriented

Strategic Thinking

CPA designation an asset

Strong writing and presentation skills

Bilingualism (French-English) is required

Knowledge of French and English is required to support clients and Team members within and/ or outside the province of Quebec.

We are currently looking for a bilingual Senior Compliance Specialist to join our Tier 1 Compliance team located across Canada. The mandate of the Compliance Department is to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements affecting investment dealers, including rules, policies, and by-laws of  CIRO, provincial securities commissions, insurance commissions/councils and other regulators. The Department works closely with Distribution Leadership and other management to develop appropriate corporate policies, identifies, and promotes good business practices, executes business review programs to monitor sales practices, manages client complaint resolution processes and conducts branch examination programs.
 

Position Summary:  The Compliance specialist will support the Tier 1 Compliance team by conducting preliminary reviews and risk assessments of various activities, reports across multiple compliance programs. They will identify, investigate, and report compliance related issues, irregularities, and violations to the appropriate compliance manager.  In addition, they will assist with daily compliance related actions of the greater Tier 1 Compliance team as necessary. 

Duties Include:

Assist in the maintenance and administration of compliance reports and reporting as they relate to the T1 Compliance Team.

Execute preliminary reviews of compliance related data using a risk-based approach across various platforms and escalate items of risk to the appropriate T1 Compliance Manager for further review and assessment

Collaborate with the T1 Compliance team on projects, activities, and other initiatives, including ad hoc team requirements

Participate in internal compliance reviews or external regulatory audits conducted in head office or Branch/Sub-Branch office locations
 

Qualification:

4+ years of experience in a financial services environment

Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant business discipline

Completion of and/or commitment to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) and Investment Dealer Supervisors Course (IDSC) within a specified timeframe  

In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry, including a strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.  Well-developed organization and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize, perform multiple tasks, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines with limited supervision.

Demonstrated proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, SharePoint and Teams, agile in learning new systems

Strong ability to exercise judgement and maintain confidentiality 

Must have a positive attitude and collaborative approach to teamwork
 

Knowledge of French and English is required to support clients et Team members within and/ or outside the province of Quebec.
