The candidate will need to work with Purview, SharePoint, AvePoint and other content platforms & tools to deliver products and services to the organization for consumption. Design and develop solutions to meet business needs, processes, and controls. Deliver work packages to advance capabilities and to support project demand in the organization within scope of end user engineering deliverables. Understanding of AvePoint O365 Governance, Policies and Insights is a nice to have skillset.

Key Accountabilities:

Maintain Daily/Weekly visibility and progress with Engineering team(s) of tasks and project deliverables

Manage deliverables in Jira

Some escalations will be handled via Service Now incident tickets.

Occasionally navigate unknown and/or ambiguous situations

Successfully promote an environment of openness, honesty, and respect within the Team

Balance a Project vs. Product mindset for work within the team and logically group work into workstreams

Address assigned tasks based on SLA’s

Exchange roadmaps build

Exchange maintenance and operational support for escalations

Office 365 apps engineering and operational support for escalations

Purview engineering and operational support for escalations

Receive and manage intake demand for Engineering team(s)

Knowledge of Infrastructure principles, environments, service models

Involved in Product discovery work such as story mapping, persona identification, and backlog creation

Build professional relationships with Lob’s and stakeholder groups in organization

Understand Engineering team resource commitments, constraints and provide transparency to the process

With support of Engineering team(s); provide estimates to other technical and business teams for Engineering effort, costs, and Assumptions

Knowledge of Infrastructure principles, environments, service models

Involved in Product discovery work such as story mapping, persona identification, and backlog creation

Build professional relationships with Lob’s and stakeholder groups in organization

Understand Engineering team resource commitments, constraints and provide transparency to the process

With support of Engineering team(s); provide estimates to other technical and business teams for Engineering effort, costs, and Assumptions

Contribute to maturation of practices in Infrastructure Delivery

Continuous Improvement mindset

Raise ideas, contribute to team discussions

Understands how to apply Agile framework to work assignments and adapt as required, i.e., knowing when to accelerate processes and modify techniques
 

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Computer Science

MS Purview data protection and compliance policies awareness

Data lifecycle management processes, support the implementation of records management policies, records retrieval, and destruction processes

Entra ID/ Azure Active Directory knowledge and understanding

Information Rights Management (IRM)

Azure Rights Management Service (Azure RMS)

MS Purview Data Loss Prevention (DLP)

Identity and Access Management knowledge and understanding

Exchange management

Microsoft Office 365 suite of apps

Microsoft Intune

Microsoft Azure

Jira training/certifications will be helpful to have

Microsoft Azure certification will be nice to have.

Microsoft Exchange certification will be nice to have.

New Grad Rotational Program – Operations Stream

We are currently hiring students in their final year of study looking for opportunities after graduation.  The New Grad Rotational Program offers students the opportunity to complete four rotations over a two-year period with the opportunity to be placed full-time after completion.  The participants will develop a strong understanding of the business’s big picture and how each department contributes to the success of the organization.

 

The position will be in our Winnipeg location, IG Wealth Management Office, the Operations Stream will provide hands-on exposure to important projects, contributing real gains to the company.  Within a supportive and collaborative environment, participants are given the autonomy and responsibility to manage their projects and deliver results to senior members of the team.   If you have a strong interest in the financial industry and enjoy solving programs this opportunity is for you.  In addition, the program will provide training to develop leadership skills and the opportunity to build a network across the organization. 

 

Group rotations within the New Grad Rotational Operations stream will be within Continuous Improvement, Specialized Services, Wealth Operations, and Contact Centre.

 

The responsibilities will vary depending on the department’s needs; however, will include the following:

Contributing to various project initiatives that support our business strategies

Researching, analyzing, preparing reports and presenting findings to senior management

Networking and seeking feedback

Analyzing business processes to identify opportunities for improvement

 

The following requirements will assist the successful candidates:

Graduating in 2025 in a related field (BCom, BA, BSc, etc.)

Passionate about a career in the Financial Industry

Demonstrated initiative and leadership skills

Well-developed written and oral communication with strong presentation skills

Creativity and innovation with the ability to meet changing deadlines

Ability to work well in a team environment

Excellent interpersonal, judgment & decision-making skills
