Department Summary: IG Wealth Connect is a strategic area within Financial Services Distribution. The team is responsible for managing, servicing and providing financial planning advice to a segment of IG Wealth Management clients nationally. IG Wealth Connect currently operates throughout the country with Advisors working predominantly from home.

 

Position Summary: The Senior Manager, IG Wealth connect oversees 12 to 15 Advisors that are part of a quickly growing and very talented team. The focus of the role is to elevate the client planning experience by coaching, supporting a team of advisors to deliver on IG’s holistic approach to financial planning. Which goes beyond traditional investment advice to include all aspects of the client’s financial life including investment strategies, retirement planning, mortgages, banking and insurance. The Senior Manager is responsible for the efficiency, productivity and consistency of client experience. They have direct responsibility for their team of Advisors, are accountable for service agreements ensuring an appropriate balance of service. Quality, productivity and standards must continuously evolve and improve, and all must be handled in a cost-effective manner, while improving the ease of doing business for clients.

 

 Duties Include:

Manage day-to-day functions for servicing inbound/outbound client, proactive and retention activities.

Develop, coach, motivate, mentor, support and manage performance for team through the change management process.                                                                                         

Assist Director and VP with developing and executing strategies to achieve divisional and department targets.                   

Oversight of those responsible for the direct order servicing activities for registered and non-registered accounts. Activities include updating account information, processing financial and non-financial requests, quality control, responding to service requests, follow up and adjustments.                                                                         

Ensure procedural, regulatory, compliance and departmental policies are followed by department members.

Identify opportunities for business and process improvements and implement changes as developed by management team.

Handle escalated and complex service issues from internal and external sources.

Provide guidance and assistance to team to ensure that all daily work and objectives are completed.

Provide guidance on system, process, servicing model dependencies and procedural design for the IG Wealth Connect strategy.

 

Qualifications:

Process oriented with the ability to multi-task in an extremely diverse fast-paced environment.

Strategic mindset, solution oriented, an excellent problem solver with mastery in business planning, business drivers and numerical analysis.

Performance-driven high achiever with great sales management skills.

Extensive mutual fund, mortgage and/or insurance industry background, including product knowledge, processing and compliance.

University degree in business or a relevant field. IFIC Mutual Fund or Canadian Securities Course. Insurance equivalent and Certified Financial Planner are an asset.

Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation). French is an asset.

Strong awareness of respectful workplace policies, ensuring an inclusive professional environment.

Minimum of 7 years experience in the financial services industry and 5 years in a leadership role

Practical experience with a CRM and the Office Suite.

 

As this position is posted in Montréal, Toronto and Winnipeg, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English.
