The Role:

As a member of our Corporate Solutions Technology team at IGM, you will be joining a highly collaborative group with experience in and passion for delivering innovative solutions for our clients, advisors, and employees using the latest technology and insights. 

 

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

Work with the Delivery Lead and other Team Members to create and/or collaborate on deliverables eg technical/interface specifications, data mappings etc

Liaise with business stakeholders to understand business objectives to design the solution that will meet their needs

Elicit requirements from business stakeholders through interviews, workshops, business scenarios, and user stories

Investigate and respond to data issues raised by business stakeholders

Document the system specifications for the software development team

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following core competencies and experience:

Required Standard Items

Five+ years of technical Systems/Data analysis or equivalent experience
 

Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data analysis and reporting tools

Knowledge of and experience with reporting/ business intelligence software (Tableau), databases (SQL, MongoDB), programming (Python, SQL)

Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

Understanding of Technology Methodologies, processes and practices.

Market data vendors and sourcing knowledge – e.g. benchmarks, reference data, economic data, ESG, etc

Experience working in a technology project team environment and on projects involving the integration of disparate types of technologies/platforms

Experience working on BAU and Small Enhancements work that adds value to the Business

The Director of Cloud Infrastructure Operations is a dynamic, service-oriented, and technically proficient leader responsible for guiding infrastructure support activities within the IGM Technology organization. DUTIES INCLUDE

Lead a team responsible for managing a critical multi-cloud, multi-vendor environment with high availability requirements.

Collaborates with Engineering and Architecture leadership to drive continuous improvement of support methodologies and processes, ensuring team direction and skill development aligns with the overall enterprise infrastructure strategy.

Own and manage relationships with third-party service providers in a hybrid-outsourced environment, tracking SLA adherence and overseeing ongoing service improvement activities.

Responsible for operations focused project support with an emphasis on transition to production activities and support model development.

Establish and continually refine incident and problem management processes including root cause analysis and critical outage response capabilities.

Participate and support infrastructure security and compliance audits.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent

Minimum 5 – 7 years progressively more experience in an infrastructure service delivery environment, with experience in a leadership role an asset

Experience within a 24×7 production environment, preferably across multiple clouds or data centers and 3rd party service providers

Knowledge of cloud based IaaS environment management, certifications in GCP and Azure an asset

Job Description

The Senior Cloud Platform Specialist is an energetic, service-oriented technical expert responsible for ensuring operational excellence in support of the IGM Technology infrastructure portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong cross-discipline IT background, working seamlessly in a hybrid/multi-vendor environment, and will be passionate about driving increased service availability and consistency of delivery through refinement of processes, documentation, and toolset. The candidate will need to bring teams together to problem-solve, creatively address service-impacting issues, eliminate pain points, or facilitate improvements, and should thrive in a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will be considered a service-oriented technology professional, with excellent logic and problem-solving skills and a drive to make a difference.
 

Key Responsibilities

Provide operational support for a key multi-cloud, multi-vendor platform with high availability requirements.

Ensure effective monitoring of platform availability, responsiveness, health, security, and integrity of systems, including infrastructure maintenance and patching activities.

Manage third-party service providers in a hybrid-outsourced environment.

Establish and continually refine technology management processes, including continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and critical outage response capabilities.

Engage in performance and fault analysis for issues requiring in-depth, extended investigation. Recommend unique approaches to issue resolution, including situation analysis, testing strategies, and fault reproduction.

Provide expert technology platform support for change implementation processes, including impact analysis, method of procedure review, implementation, and verification.

Maintain current operational reference documentation and update as changes are introduced to the environment.

Identify end-user reported incident trends and document knowledge articles to aid in first-level resolution.

Support operations-focused projects with an emphasis on operational transition activities.

 

Required Knowledge/Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent.

Minimum 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in an infrastructure service delivery environment.

Expert proficiency in Citrix, Windows Server and Linux platforms.

Experience within a 24×7 production environment, preferably across multiple data centers and third-party service providers.

DEPARTMENT SUMMARY:

IG Wealth Connect is a strategic area within Financial Services Distribution. IG Wealth Connect is responsible for managing, servicing and providing financial planning advice to a segment of IG Wealth Management clients nationally. IG Wealth Connect is servicing accounts nationally.

 

POSITION SUMMARY: The Advisor will provide financial planning advice and ongoing client servicing to a segment of client accounts nationally. The Advisor will ensure that regulatory compliance requirements are adhered to in all their activities. This position is also responsible for delivering financial planning advice and an outstanding client experience.

 

DUTIES INCLUDE:

Manage day-to-day priorities servicing inbound/outbound client, proactive campaigns and retention activities.

Provide financial planning advice – assist with estate planning, debt management, insurance and mortgage.

Meet all standards of financial planning and advice and ensure regulatory guidelines are adhered to during all interactions.

Manage escalations – review each issue with consideration, collaborate with other business units, initiate appropriate action to be taken to resolve any issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Contribute to departmental initiatives – participate in growth of our share of wallet and implementation of IG Wealth Connect strategies. 

Responsible for servicing activities for registered and non-registered accounts. Activities include updating account information, processing financial and non-financial requests, quality control, responding to service requests, follow up and adjustments.                                    

Ensure procedural, regulatory, compliance and departmental policies are followed.

Identify opportunities for business and process improvements and implement changes as developed by management team.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Mutual fund, mortgage and/or insurance industry background, including product knowledge, processing and compliance.
