The Team Client Service Workers (CSWs) play a valuable role in the Service Delivery Division’s service to British Columbians seeking income and disability assistance. Position

We are currently hiring an intern looking for a summer term position, May to August 2025 in our Winnipeg Office (hybrid work environment). Candidates in an undergraduate program that will be returning to school after their internship are eligible to apply. 

 

The internship will support a variety of activities and functional areas within the Finance Division, which could include financial analysis, modeling, valuations, research, reporting and related activities within Treasury, Strategy, Planning & Analysis or other Finance functions.

 

Summer interns are encouraged to apply for the Finance stream of the 2-year New Grad Rotational Program in their graduation year.
 
Responsibilities:

Contribute to financial analysis, report production and other Finance project engagements.

Support building financial models and/or preparation of materials used to assess strategic, financial, valuation or other related business decisions.

Generate insights with ad-hoc research, data analysis and financial modeling.

Perform other related tasks to support key priorities within the Finance Division.

 

Requirements:

Registered students returning to school in 2025 in a related field.

Interest and passion for a career in Corporate Finance and looking to pursue the CFA designation post-graduation.

Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.

Excellent interpersonal, judgment & decision-making skills.

Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to self-motivate and prioritize time-sensitive deadlines.

Effective organizational and multi-tasking skills.

Position

Responsibilities:  

Process Streamlining: Analyze and streamline existing processes related to leave of absence, benefits, and pension to improve efficiency and accuracy.

AI Integration: Utilize AI tools to automate routine tasks and enhance decision-making processes.

Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive reports to track key metrics and performance indicators.

Collaboration: Work closely with Benefit team members and other relevant areas within HR to implement process improvements.

Documentation: Create detailed documentation of new processes and provide training to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:  

Currently enrolled in a relevant post-secondary education program 

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong organization skills and attention to detail, with ability to manage multiple demands under tight timeframes in a confidential environment

Ability to work independently as well as within a team

Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
