The Team The Burnaby Youth Custody Services team is a dedicated and supportive group of 67 Youth Correction Officers, structured into 8 teams, each led by a Senior Youth Corrections Supervisor. They collaborate closely with internal teams and community partners, including Youth Mental Health, Probation Officers, Chaplains, and Elders. Using a trauma-informed approach, the team ensures safety and consistency for youth in custody, addressing their complex needs while enabling public safety. With a strong sense of camaraderie and mutual support, this courageous team is committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable youth.
