DEPARTMENT SUMMARY: The Entitlements Team is responsible for the efficient and timely processing of income transactions to clients’ accounts. Specific functions of the team include:  Processing of stock & cash distributions, Dividend Reinvestments (DRIP), GIC’s, and Bond Interest & Maturities. The department supports other lines of business including the Trade Desk and Consultants for positions held under both the IGSI and IGFS dealer platforms.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Entitlements Coordinator will be responsible for daily processing of key business transactions related to various Entitlement events considering tax implications, and trading activity.  The Coordinator will reconcile payments utilizing automated reports and conduct research to resolve any discrepancies.  The position requires an ability to perform in a time sensitive environment and deal with fluctuating work volumes with attention to detail.

 

DUTIES INCLUDE:

Payment processing:

Timely and accurate processing of cash and stock distributions for equities   

DRIP processing including calculation of total client elections

GIC Maturities and Interest

Fixed Income Maturities and Interest

Generation of reports for balancing and reconciliation purposes

Ensuring accurate tax treatment

Escalation of issues to Manager of Corp. Actions & Entitlements as required

Daily Reconciliation of cash and share positions in general ledger and control accounts. Ensure breaks are cleared in accordance with documented timelines in policies and procedures

Understanding of downstream internal/external client service chain impacts

Provide support to Trade Desk and Consultants by responding to inquiries through email or telephone
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong analytical & problem solving skills, with a minimum of 2 years processing experience in the financial services industry

Ability to manage tight deadlines, changing priorities and work volumes

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and in a team setting

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook

Excellent client service skills and ability to work effectively with other team members
