The Role:

As a member of our Corporate Solutions Technology team at IGM, you will be joining a highly collaborative group with experience in and passion for delivering innovative solutions for our clients, advisors, and employees using the latest technology and insights.  As Manager Systems Analyst, you will work closely with business and technology partners and will contribute directly to the delivery of technology solutions. 

 

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

Liaises with business stakeholders to understand industry trends and business objectives to design the solution that will meet their business requirements

The Employee Communications team at IGM Financial is responsible for planning and delivering engaging and strategic employee communications across the IGM Financial group of companies (Mackenzie Investments and IG Wealth Management) to help drive fulfilling employee experiences and business performance. Director, IGM Employee Communications will lead communications for the IGM corporate functions, including the Chief Operations Officer (COO), Chief Information Officer (CIO), Human Resources (HR), as well as overseeing all digital corporate channels (Intranets, newsletters, digital boards). The role requires a thorough understanding of business strategies across IGM, effective collaboration across teams/business leaders, and an external focus to integrate leading best-practices.
   
The Director role is a people leader role based in Toronto, Winnipeg or Montreal in a hybrid workplace environment – with a minimum of 3 days in the office. Occasional travel is required (e.g. to the other IGM offices in Canada).
 
Key Accountabilities:
Communications Planning & Delivery (focused on IGM Corporate):

Lead employee communications for IGM Corporate (including Technology, Operations, Human Resources) – developing an annual plan and leading a team of 4 to plan and deliver communications to bring our strategy and culture story to life
Develop the COO and CIO communications program and calendar focused on Leadership Townhalls, All-Staff Townhalls, and Executive messages, including managing agendas, speakers, back-end production, PowerPoint decks, scripts/key messages, logistics and promotional communications

Partner with leaders, stakeholders and the team on a new consolidated intranet project to modernize and streamline our main employee channel

Proven experience working with C-Suite executives in communications, as well as issues and crisis management with an ability to influence and persuade across all levels of the organization
Superior research, writing, editing and proofreading to drive compelling content across multiple channels and platforms (digital and in-person)

Ensuring the quality of the solution by creating test plans and testing the results of the development meets the requirements of the business.

Qualifications:

Post-secondary degree/diploma in a related discipline (CMA, MBA, Management Information Systems, Commerce, Business Analysis, and Computer Science).
3+ years’ experience working with business principles and a broad range of different types of business functions.
Strong understanding of IS Methodologies, processes, and practices.
Experience with data systems analysis and data warehouse design. Strong SQL skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills that rely on a structured approach to problem solving.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.

We are seeking an analyst to drive financial accountability, cost transparency, and optimization opportunities within our cloud infrastructure platforms like Azure, GCP. This role ensures that cloud investments deliver operational efficiency and financial value through data-driven insights and proactive financial governance.

Cloud Cost Management and Optimization

Monitor and analyze cloud expenditure across platforms (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS) to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure adherence to budgets leveraging platforms like Power BI/Fabric for real-time visualization and reporting.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize cloud spending, including recommending changes to service usage, pricing models, and purchasing options, savings plan and CUDs for each of the platforms

Support the monthly, annual, and long-range financial forecast processes for cloud operations, creating annual cloud spend baselines.
Build and maintain financial models to project and track cloud costs, supporting decision-making and resource allocation
Model and track committed usage consumptions costs and variances
Manage cloud billing accounts, pricing models, and contractual commitments for all the cloud platforms.

Reporting, Analysis, and Stakeholder Communication

Enhance and optimize existing cloud financial and consumption reports, and models, or creating new visually rich reports using PowerBI/Fabric, enabling clear communication of cloud financial performance to stakeholders.
Prepare and present regular reports and dashboards on cloud costs, usage, and financial performance to senior management and stakeholders.

Governance, Compliance, and Process Improvement

Review and manage cloud service agreements and vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and negotiating for cost efficiencies.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve financial processes and controls related to cloud financial management with the help cloud engineering team.
Support negotiating licensing agreements and costs related to technology services.
Help establish financial accountability across the organization using transparent reporting.
Enable notifications or reports related to policy compliance, spending anomalies, or usage thresholds to help maintain financial control

Requirements:  

Post-Secondary Education diploma/degree in Financial, Accounting, Economics or equivalent practical experience.
Financial analysis, accounting, or a related field, and certified in Azure Cloud platform and Google Cloud Platform required.
Experience with financial analysis tools (e.g., Excel), data analysis (e.g., SQL, Python), and reporting (PowerBI /Fabrics)
Well-crafted verbal and written communications
Excellent written and verbal communication and report writing skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to apply critical thinking to problems presented. Consider and outline options and impacts
Ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions
