DEPARTMENT SUMMARY
The Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) is a key partner in the delivery of change throughout IGM Financial. We deliver value by providing services related to Project/Program Management and Delivery, Data Analytics and Reporting, Portfolio Management, and Intake Management.
Our mandate is to deliver seamless execution of change initiatives into the IGM organization through the adoption of an end-to-end project/program management methodology and governance. The team is also accountable for actively managing the portfolio of initiatives (existing and new) that draw upon delivery resources across the COO organization with a focus on raising key indicators relative to human and financial resource capacity. The team works in close partnership with other IGM shared services, IGM Corporate Operations division leaders and business leaders to deliver sustainable change and information to ensure optimization of limited resources to achieve our strategic objectives.
 
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Senior Portfolio Manager, the Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for providing day-to-day execution support for multiple programs and/or projects of high complexity and ensuring their assigned projects/programs are adhering to project management delivery methodologies, gating methodologies and financial processes.  
 
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Maintain and monitor project plans, project schedules and work hours
Manage budgets and expenditures over 10 million
Maintain appropriate project/program governance and reporting
Coordination and development of project/program materials in support of project status meetings, leadership committees and executive steering committees
Support project managers at meetings i.e. chairing meetings (if needed), taking minutes and tracking action items and agreements
Prepare executive level power point presentation materials as required to support project managers
Monitor, follow-up and organize project and program change requests
Build and maintain a project/program level Risk, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies Log
Manage small work packages and enhancements to support upskilling towards a project manager role
Ensure projects adhere to the project management delivery methodology and gating process
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and increase efficiency
Diligently update and ensure currency of project timekeeping, financials, resourcing plans across IGM systems as needed relative to plan, actuals and forecasts

 
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a project management environment – either working on projects as a team member or in a project management support role
Very strong financial management experience (estimation, budget tracking, forecasts, accruals, etc.)
Experience in data management and analysis to generate value-added outputs
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain business tools and applications to enable report development
Ability to balance multiple priorities, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while ensuring details are not missed; thrives in dynamic environment and is adaptable to changing needs
Good communication skills, both written and verbal; able to prepare and present information effectively and concisely to senior management
Continuous learner – able to quickly learn, apply and master new concepts
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite 
Proficiency with Microsoft Project Online

 
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
 

Knowledge of and understanding of Project Management methods, practices, processes, scheduling software and SharePoint
CAPM – Certified Associate in Project Management

The Role
Reporting to the Director, Real Estate Delivery, the Senior (Practice) Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and leading the Practice Management function within the delivery team. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with strong leadership and operational skills.
 
Key Responsibilities
🧩 Practice Management

Own and evolve the project delivery framework, including methodology, templates, and standard operating procedures.
Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities; update the framework quarterly or as needed.
Educate delivery team members and stakeholders on framework changes.
Lead onboarding for new hires, ensuring alignment with delivery processes and IGM standards.

👥 Resource Management

Track current and future resource assignments and allocation percentages.
Identify resource surpluses or shortfalls and recommend action plans (e.g., pacing projects, adding resources).
Provide insights to support strategic workforce planning.

 
🏗️ Small Project Delivery

Mentor and guide assigned project managers.

Apply a structured version control approach to incorporate updates on a scheduled basis.
Communicate framework changes effectively to both internal and external stakeholders, tailoring messaging to each audience.
Facilitate onboarding for new hires, ensuring they are well-versed in the delivery framework and IGM processes.

👥 Resource Management

Monitor and forecast project resource assignments, maintaining up-to-date allocation percentages.
Identify resource gaps or surpluses and recommend actionable solutions such as project pacing or resource reallocation.

🏗️ Small Project Delivery

Oversee the tracking, prioritization, and resourcing of small-scale projects (typically under $1M).
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members managing small projects.
As capacity allows, directly manage select projects within the distribution or corporate campus portfolio, including:
Monitoring construction progress and resolving complex design or build issues in a timely manner.
Ensuring adherence to budget controls and maintaining fiscal discipline.

The Role:
As a member of our Corporate Solutions Technology team at IGM, you will be joining a highly collaborative group with experience in and passion for delivering innovative solutions for our clients, advisors, and employees using the latest technology and insights. 
 
This role works closely with Risk, Audit, and Sustainability teams to capture system objectives, evaluate business cases, and define solutions aligned with organizational architecture. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring and maintaining the Diligent platform to support risk management, compliance tracking, audit workflows, and ESG reporting. 
Involvement with large scale projects involving multiple business areas as well as internal and external providers is anticipated.  The role will require a strong understanding of the high level of complexity across business areas where both the impact and risk associated are high.
 

The successful candidate will be working on our Finance, Audit and Risk team.
Candidate will have 7+ years of hands-on experience in using/configuring/maintaining the Diligent application or similar GRC platform. 

 
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

Configure, maintain, and optimize the Diligent platform for Risk and Audit functions
Liaise with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and reporting needs
Define and communicate system requirements to ensure applications are scalable, testable, and maintainable
Collaborate with internal and external technology partners to deliver solutions that meet compliance and governance objectives
Integrate Diligent with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, BI tools)
Provide user training, documentation, and ongoing support
Produce knowledge-sharing documentation and provide technical guidance to junior team members

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following core competencies and experience:

Preferred Qualifications:

5–7+ years of experience in Business/Systems Analysis supporting Risk, Audit, or Sustainability functions
Hands-on experience configuring and administering Diligent or similar GRC platforms
Knowledge of risk management frameworks, audit processes, and ESG reporting standards
Familiarity with compliance standards (SOX, ISO, CSA, etc.)

In addition, the following competencies would be highly valued and considered more favorably:

Knowledge of the Wealth Management and the Financial Services industry
Experience with SAP, S4 Conversion, SWIFT, SAP Concur, Novisto
