Focused on Mass Affluent and Mass Market clients, the Manager Insurance Business Development (MIBD) will work with IG Wealth Management Consultants to generate life and living benefits sales to meet or exceed the company’s objective and deliver the business results in alignment with positive client outcomes.
 
Accountabilities
• Actively engage advisors to deliver insurance portfolio sales including life, disability and critical illness insurance.
• Manage Mass Market and Mass Affluent consultant inquiries on needs assessment, product selection and sales skills development.
• Meet with Regional VP’s on a regular basis to ensure consultant engagement and client risk protection needs are being met.
• Liaise with Region Management to identify strategies to grow insurance sales and Consultant growth opportunities.
• Training Consultants on insurance at various competency levels. This includes conducting group presentations.
• Manage and promote key relationships with our Insurance Partners’ wholesaling teams.
• Collaborate with Head Office on insurance and estate planning initiatives to the field.
 
Knowledge and Skills
• Strong leadership, sales and relationship building skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of industry conditions and trends, and competitor products and pricing.
• Advanced knowledge of life, disability and critical illness insurance
• In-depth knowledge of financial services and tax laws.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong customer service attitude with good interpersonal skills
• Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal in French and English
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving skills and influencing skills
• Holds Life and A&S licenses in Quebec with the ability to obtain your licenses in the Atlantic provinces
 
Knowledge of French and English is required to support clients and Team members within and/ or outside the province of Quebec.
