Position

The Product Manager will be responsible for subject matter expertise on IGWM’s products to deliver timely and insightful product related research and intelligence, support business development activities and play an active role in any new or ongoing product initiatives. 

 

Responsibilities: 

Subject Matter Expert 

Act as subject matter expert on all investment strategies 

Support sub-advisor relationships including the management and support of strategy insights, commentaries, and training programs 

Proactively create and and circulation of product related insights, quarterly commentaries, market updates and additional value adding materials 

Work collaboratively with cross-functional business partners across investment management, marketing, operations, legal, compliance and other teams, to deliver against the Product group and broader organization’s strategic objectives 

Partner with operations, marketing, IT, communications, and investment management on automation efforts to support internal and external materials related to our product line-up 

New Product Research/Product Enhancements 

Participate in new product research initiatives as needed in partnership with Research and Development team, with a particular emphasis on market positioning and go-to-market strategy, and support product launches with preparation of FAQ guides, training, and education packages 

Market Research and Client Trend Awareness 

Maintain and expand coverage of industry (domestic and international) investment product trends across institutional asset management, ESG and sustainable investing 

Develop appropriate product reporting and analysis to contribute to marketing positioning and distribution opportunities 

 

Requirements: 

A University degree in business, finance, economics, or field relevant to role 

A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the asset management industry, with demonstrated experience in investment product management 

Accreditations and certifications that reflect knowledge of the investment/asset management industry such as the CSC, CIM, CFA, CAIA, CIFC, etc. 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Working knowledge of Morningstar Direct, eVestments, Preqin, Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and high degree of familiarity with investment and wealth management research tools/services 

Working knowledge of cross-asset class investment strategies that utilize fundamental, quantitative or hybrid investment processes 

Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks both domestic and international as it relates to varying types of investment products and vehicles 

Working knowledge of alternative and sustainable investing practices, strategies, products, frameworks, and market trends or interest in learning 

Motivated self-starter with exceptional planning, attention to detail, stakeholder management and collaboration skills 

Strong ability to multi-task and manage multiple complex initiatives on an ongoing basis

The Region Office Operations Division is responsible for providing operational and administrative support services to members of the Consultant network in Region and Division offices across the country.

Position Summary:  

The Coordinator, Region Office Operations is responsible for processing key business transactions, including bank deposits, system transactions and general administration. The Coordinator acts as first line of contact and provides service to both internal and external clients of IG Wealth management. 

 

Duties Include:

Handles Region Office business processing and compliance/regulatory administration related to several different platforms IGFS, IGFS Nominee, IGSI, Solutions Banking and Insurance 
Process client business including –document pre-edit, client and account set up, client adjustments, document processing and retention
Offer direction and support to consultants and their teams on policies, procedures and available resources, including offering training 
Answers the telephone and provides exceptional client service to internal and external clients
Serves guests by greeting, welcoming and directing them appropriately
Handles incoming and outgoing mail and package distribution 
Order and maintain office supplies
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Performs other administrative related duties as assigned
Provides support to the Manager, Region Office Operations as required 

 

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of administrative and reception experience preferably in the Financial Services industry
Post-secondary education in a business discipline
Strong Business/Technical skills – proficiency in PC capabilities including the Microsoft Office Suite
Proven strengths in the area of:
Client service orientation – Understanding and meeting internal and external client needs and perspectives
Accountability – Results oriented, takes ownership and delivers on commitments
Communication – Clear, concise, tactful, listens actively and objectively, open and consistent communication
Teamwork – Works collaboratively with others to achieve common goals, while adding value to the team
