The Team The Provincial Rapattack Operations Centre is located next to the airport in Salmon Arm. The main objective of the Rapattack program is to quickly and effectively suppress small fires in remote, and/or difficult to access locations. Additionally, the Rapattack program and its crews, equipment, helicopters, and skillsets are highly flexible and quickly mobilized to effectively support BCWS in many ways including helipad construction/access improvement, air support, hoist medevac, ground initial attack, and support on sustained action incidents.  The Role As a Fire Crew Leader Rappel,  you’ll lead crews on the fireline and in day-to-day fieldwork around their communities, playing a vital part in keeping these communities safe and resilient.
