Job Summary

The Director of Cybersecurity Application, Cloud and Data Security Services will lead the cybersecurity strategy and operations related to application and data protection, and cloud security services. This role involves overseeing and understanding the details as it relates to the implementation and management of advanced security technologies, including but not limited to, Web Application, API and Email Security, CASB, CNAPP, and SSPM, ensuring the protection of the organization’s digital assets and sensitive information.

 

This role requires a unique combination of technical expertise and management acumen to safeguard the organization’s technology assets. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in designing and building engineering solutions for application, cloud, and data security.
 

Key Responsibilities: Application, Cloud and Data Security Services

Maintain and evolve practices in Cybersecurity Services and Delivery

Develop and roadmap comprehensive cybersecurity strategies to protect applications and data across the organization, aligning to owned Cybersecurity Services

Lead strategy, execution, and ongoing maturity of comprehensive cybersecurity capabilities for Cybersecurity Application, Cloud and Data Security Services.

Manage and oversee the services and integration across and within other systems, while maintaining a foundational understanding of how our products and services work and are most effectively used

Research and stay current of existing services and features with the mindset continuous improvement, cost-effectiveness and efficiency

Inter-team coordination and relationship building with Business and Technology teams

Build strong relationships with various lines of business and become a trusted partner across the organization, with a positive and welcoming attitude

Keep team members and stakeholders informed on scoped and planned work

Team Management

A positive and impactful leader by coaching, attracting and retaining talent

Focus on building strong inner team relationships, foster engagement and promote development

Balance and forecast Employee and Contractor needs to fulfill demands and grow capabilities

Provide training and guidance to IT teams on cloud security best practices.
 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred

Minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

In-depth knowledge of WAF, API, Application and Email Security, DLP, CASB, CNAPP, and SSPM technologies

Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and standards

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Experience with personnel management and guidance on career progression

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Experience in a technology delivery environment where funds/resources/time constraints create challenges to be balanced

Knowledge of the Financial Services industry regulations

 

Additional Requirements:

Pro-active, problem-solving attitude and ability to work calmly under pressure

Experience working in Agile (Scrum, Kanban) AND waterfall delivery methodologies

Desire to always make things better

Keep current of developments in the field and systems

Understanding of release management best practices and change control rigor

Certifications of interest:

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)

Cloud Security certifications – focused on Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform
