We are currently looking for a Manager, Compliance, to join our Compliance department located across Canada. The mandate of the Compliance Department is to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements affecting investment dealers, including rules, policies and by-laws of the self-regulatory organization of the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO), provincial securities commissions, insurance commissions/councils and other regulators. The Department works closely with Distribution Leadership and other management to develop appropriate corporate policies, identifies and promotes good business practices, executes business review programs to monitor sales practices, manages client complaint resolution processes and conducts branch examination programs. 
 

The Manager, Compliance, is registered to supervise the activities of IG Wealth Management registrants. 

 

Responsibilities include:

Conducting Tier 1 supervision activities including conducting reviews of daily and monthly trading, account opening and KYC updates, outside activities, social media supervision, and service-related complaint resolution on either the investment dealer or mutual fund dealer platform, and or both.

Supporting IG Wealth Management registrants in resolving compliance issues with regulatory guideline interpretation and with inquiries relating to acceptance of unique or exceptional situations.

Managing regulatory obligations and commitments, such as the 90-day training program, 6-month supervision, periodic on-site sub-branch visits, continuing education, as well as close supervision.

Identifying training requirements, implementing and coordinating the delivery of training programs.

Participating in internal compliance reviews or external regulator audits conducted in Head Office or Branch/Sub-Branch office locations.
 

Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in a compliance-related environment.

Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant business discipline.

Must qualify to be immediately registered with CIRO as a supervisor for investments, mutual funds or both.

If currently qualified as a supervisor for mutual funds only, the candidate must commit to completing the following courses within 1 year from hire, including the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices (CPH), and Investment Dealer Supervisor Course.

Will have to meet other continuing education requirements as required by the regulators.

In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry, including understanding of regulatory requirements of CIRO, insurance commissions/councils and other regulators.

Strong oral, written and communication skills must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with various levels of staff, including senior management, along with being an effective listener.

Must have a positive and collaborative approach to teamwork.

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, perform multiple tasks, deal with interruptions and meet deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

The ability to communicate verbally and written in French & English (opened to candidates outside of Quebec). For candidates within Quebec, proficiency in the French language (speaking, reading and writing) is mandatory

DEPARTMENT SUMMARY: IG Wealth Connect is a strategic area within Financial Services Distribution. The IG Wealth Connect is responsible for managing, servicing and providing financial planning advice to a segment of IG Wealth Management clients nationally. 
 
POSITION SUMMARY: The Service Specialist will provide continual support to IG Wealth Connect Advisors and clients by providing enhanced administrative support, demonstrating strong customer and relationship management skills and acting as first point of operational support for both financial and non-financial transactions. They will identify solutions and make appropriate decisions that result in producing high quality work. Working in a fast-paced environment, their main responsibility is to handle all supporting paperwork, inquiries and problems accurately, professionally and effectively through acquired product knowledge of the corporate policies and procedures.
 
DUTIES INCLUDE:

Client servicing and administration – guide and offer support to Advisors through administration related to orders and answer account inquiries and business submission methods. Activities include updating account information, processing non-financial requests, quality control, responding to service requests, communicating with customers, follow up, and adjustments.
Communicates regularly with IG Wealth Connect clients to resolve issues, answer questions, and strengthen the client relationship and experience.
Constantly adapting to new priorities by remaining nimble and agile in a fast-paced work environment and having a growth mindset in the face of challenges.
Receive and respond to incoming contacts via e-mail, phone, web and fax from Advisors clients, other business units.
Determine the best course of action and ensure completion of action has met established standards.
Take independent action to research escalated situations, offer alternatives and solutions, and provide feedback to Advisors and/or process improvements that will maximize the administrative process.
Communicate with other business units to ensure client inquiries and concerns are resolved in a timely manner and act as liaison between related business units.
Maintain knowledge of basic policy and procedure in the following areas: IGFS, IGSI, IIROC, IGFS Nominee, Mortgage, and AFP.
Manage escalations – review each issue with consideration, collaboration with other business unit, initiate appropriate action to be taken to resolve the issue in a timely efficient manner.

 
QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 2 plus years in a diverse customer service focused role, with front line client service and working with mutual funds/other investments experience.
Post-secondary degree/diploma in a business discipline with relevant securities or financial services courses.
Excellent inter-personal and proven client service skills.
Well demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient PC skills including Word, Excel, Access and email.
Strong investigative and decision-making abilities.
Bilingual (French/English) written and verbal communication is required.

 
Knowledge of French and English is required to support clients and Team members within and/ or outside the province of Quebec.

Key Responsibilities

Support our Advisors and Service Specialists by ensuring they are able to accurately and efficiently service our clients
Provide department administrative support which includes transferring clients to/from the department, managing the team mailbox, processing incoming/outgoing mail and handling escalations
Review, interpret, and process documentation in alignment with IG Wealth Management policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
Utilize various software applications to accurately complete requests.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience in financial services or a combination of post-secondary education and relevant work experience is an asset.

Position
We are currently hiring an intern looking for a winter term position, January to April 2026, in our Winnipeg office. Candidates in an undergraduate program that will be returning to school after the internship to be eligible to apply. This position is responsible for supporting the Data Science team in Analytics and Data Engineering tasks. The student will assist in developing datasets, models, and reports which are used to understand our business and meet strategic objectives. This position provides a great opportunity for a university student to gain practical experience in the fields of AI and Data Science.
 
Responsibilities:  

Designing and developing relevant datasets, reports and analysis for operational and strategic initiatives
Work with data from multiple sources and databases (manipulate data, prepare data for machine learning)
Analyze structured and unstructured data, organize findings and translate into actionable insights
Learn various modelling approaches and understand how to evaluate best performance considering model metrics and appropriateness for business interpretation
Collaborate closely with relevant teams to ensure models/solutions can be deployed
Participate in the development, testing, implementation, documentation and continuous improvement of datasets and data models as a member of the Data Science team

 
Requirements:  

Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Data Science, Computer Science, Management Analytics, Statistics or a similar field
Knowledge of SQL, Python, and Git
Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, and/or other BI and reporting tools is a plus
Exposure to cloud technologies (e.g. Google Cloud, Azure) is beneficial
