Join Us to Be Part of the Change – In Person & Virtual Events in 6 cities on Wednesday, May 31, 2023

Join us as we proclaim Women in Leadership Day across Canada!

We invite you to join the Women in Leadership community on May 31, 2023 to celebrate women’s achievements, support women’s advancement, and highlight your commitment to build on your diversity, equity, and inclusion leadership to promote healthy workplaces. We are gathering for this special day because we want to share this important message — that women can be leaders and that women will change the world. Our foundation is built on the belief that we can all make a positive difference and can make an even bigger impact by working together to get there.

Our Bridge to Gender Equality Project Report findings have highlighted the importance of addressing systemic issues around equity, diversity, racism, and inclusion. Let’s reimagine our workplaces. Let’s shift our mindsets to empower more women to take their rightful place in leadership and decision-making roles. We can all take small steps each day to celebrate someone’s achievements, to be an ally, to mentor, and to expand our community.

In the next three years, more than 20% of the Canadian workforce is eligible to retire, nearly double the amount in the previous five years (Rubin, 2022). Attracting, recruiting, and retaining underrepresented groups will become vital to fill the workforce gap. Employees are demanding a more supportive, inclusive workplace. Let’s support healthy workplaces that embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion where we can all have the opportunities to thrive.

We are celebrating over 22 years of WIL and we thank you all for your continued support and for being part of our community. WIL is about working together to get there.
