Position: 

As Senior Manager, Field Marketing, you will lead the development of marketing plans for British Columbia with a focus on developing marketing strategies to attract High Net Worth (HNW) client segments. The goal is to reach key audiences with primarily a B2C focus with selective B2B programs to grow awareness and consideration for IG Wealth Management & IG Private Wealth Management. You will report directly to the Director of Field Marketing, Mid-West & Western Canada. 

  

The successful candidate will be an experienced marketer with 10+ years of developing and executing integrated marketing strategies, demonstrating a proven track record of collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver impactful brand-building business results. You thrive as a self-starter with a deep interest in wealth management, excelling when challenged with new and diverse opportunities. Success will be measured by: 

Generating strong marketing ROI. 

Increasing utilization and adoption of digital tools and events. 

Building efficient budget strategies focused on gaining market share among our core audiences. 

Responsibilities include: 

Provide expert marketing advice to the Region Leaders and IG Advisor Network, and work with the Advisor teams to support Marketing Plan development: 

Offer strategic guidance on marketing plan creation and execution. 

Collaborate with advisors to tailor marketing strategies to their needs. 

Manage relationships with region leaders and support the development of region-specific marketing plans. 

Training and coaching on advanced social media and digital presence enhancements: 

Conduct workshops and one-on-one sessions to improve advisors’ social media skills. 

Develop and share best practices for enhancing digital presence. 

Oversee and manage the planning and implementation of programs, sponsorships, and events, including onsite management of select events: 

Coordinate logistics and execution of high-profile events. 

Ensure all events align with brand standards and objectives. 

Management of sponsorships and identification of new sponsorship opportunities in line with target segment strategy. 

Develop, deliver and promote practice-relevant training on marketing tools & best practices: 

Create comprehensive training modules on the latest marketing tools. 

Facilitate regular training sessions to keep the team updated. 

Support the development and adoption of segment specific sales content. 

Initiate, develop and maintain practice-relevant resource material such as video tutorials for the IG Advisor network delivered through internal communications and other articles: 

Produce engaging video tutorials and written guides. 

Regularly update resources to reflect the latest industry trends. 

Research and create area marketing ideas, strategies, plans and programs: 

Conduct market research to identify new opportunities. 

Develop innovative marketing strategies to capture market share. 

  

Qualifications: 

A minimum of 10+ years’ experience in a marketing role 

Post secondary degree/diploma in a relevant discipline 

Effective planning and organizational skills with the ability to perform effectively under pressure and deliver on multiple demands 

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as relationship building skills 

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated public speaking, training and presentation skills 

Experience with Event Marketing and/or Event Management 

Experience on social media platforms, specifically Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn 

Experience in the financial services industry is an asset 

Strong relationship management and influencing skills at multiple levels 

Project Management: Strong project and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
