Role Summary
The Director, Security Architecture & Advisory, is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and driving the strategic direction of the organization’s security architecture and advisory services. This role ensures that security is embedded into technology design, development, and deployment processes, aligning with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The Director will lead a team of security architects and advisors, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and serve as a trusted partner to technology and business leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Security Architecture Leadership

Define and maintain the enterprise security architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and IT roadmaps.
Oversee the design and implementation of secure solutions across infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments.
Establish and enforce architectural standards, patterns, and principles to guide secure technology development.

Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement

Provide expert security guidance to technology and business teams during solution design, procurement, and implementation.
Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on emerging threats, architectural risks, and mitigation strategies.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to promote a security-by-design culture across the organization.

Governance & Risk Management

Ensure security architecture aligns with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management frameworks.
Participate in governance forums and architecture review boards to assess and approve technology initiatives.
Lead security assessments and threat modeling exercises for critical projects and technologies.

Team Leadership & Development

Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of security architects and advisors.
Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Define team goals, performance metrics, and development plans aligned with organizational priorities.

Innovation & Emerging Technologies

Stay abreast of emerging technologies, security trends, and threat landscapes to inform architectural decisions.
Evaluate and recommend new tools, platforms, and practices to enhance the organization’s security posture.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

Work closely with technology and business units to enhance risk transparency.
Establish strong working relationships with the stakeholders across business units and teams to build trust and act as a trusted advisor.
Act as a key liaison between first-line IT risk functions and executive leadership to facilitate discussions on risk trends and emerging security threats.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on security architecture or advisory.
Deep understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud security, application security, and secure development practices.
Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, TOGAF, SABSA).
Proven experience engaging with senior executives and influencing strategic technology decisions.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, SABSA, TOGAF, CISM, or AWS/Azure security certifications are highly desirable.

The Role
The Senior Manager, Digital Product Owner will focus on the IG Wealth Management brand and report to the AVP, Digital Product, Performance & Experience. While this role will primarily focus on the IG Wealth Management brand, it is important to note that it remains an integral part of the Shared Services team within IGM Marketing. This pivotal role drives digital strategy, oversees the product lifecycle for key digital assets, and fosters a culture of innovation and collaboration. You will be a part of a talented team and champion Agile methodologies to deliver seamless and impactful digital experiences for clients and advisors.
Key Responsibilities

Define and continuously refine the digital strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with IG Wealth Management’s business goals and evolving user expectations.
Collaboratively prioritize features with design and development teams, balancing user value, business impact, feasibility, and quality standards.
Establish and monitor success metrics for digital products; regularly assess performance and identify opportunities for improvement through ongoing iteration.
Develop and test sound hypotheses for new products and features that meet user needs and drive business objectives, including, but not limited to, new client acquisition.
Gather and analyze user feedback from multiple channels, transforming insights into actionable product development initiatives.
Champion Agile methodologies and foster best practices in digital product management across the team and broader organization.
Mentor and be a part of a high-performing team of Product Owners, Designers (UI/UX), and Content Specialists (CMS), supporting their professional growth and fostering a collaborative, innovative culture.

Reporting
This role reports to the AVP, Digital Product, Performance & Experience.
 
Qualifications

5+ years of experience in digital product management or digital strategy, preferably within financial services or a complex, regulated environment.
Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience defining product vision, strategy, and roadmaps in a cross-functional team environment.
Strong familiarity with Agile frameworks and best practices in digital product management, along with JIRA and confluence experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and inspire multidisciplinary teams, including Product Owners, Designers, and Content Specialists.
Track record of delivering successful digital products and features from ideation to launch and iteration, with a customer-centric mindset.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and user insights to inform decision-making.
Effective communicator with exceptional stakeholder management skills, partnering across functions and with external vendors.
Ability to take complex ideas and requirements and translate them into simplified terms to help with alignment from various stakeholders across the organization.

The Senior Security Platform Specialist will be a technical lead the cybersecurity strategy and operations related to application and data protection, and cloud security services. The IGM Technology Service Management team is accountable to act as a point of contact/business relations to key 3rd party IT service providers; assessing and driving on-going improvements in service delivery, including defining and monitoring performance of key performance indicators/metrics, managing technology and business issues as they relate to contracts managed; ensuring business value for services provided and cost optimization. The Service Management team manages the IGM Technology Service Lifecycle and Service Catalog, inclusive of all major ITIL processes such as release, change, configuration management, communication, incident, and problem management, and partners with the business and Enterprise Architecture to ensure effective service strategy and design. 
 
The ITSM Request Catalog Manager will work with the IT and Business mid to senior leadership, IT stakeholders, architects, development teams and various service delivery groups. This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the enterprise service request catalog within the IT Service Management platform (ServiceNow).  This role ensures the catalog provides a user-friendly, efficient, and standardized experience for end-users while aligning with business objectives and IT governance. This role works closely with service owners, process managers, and technical teams to define request items, streamline workflows, and enable automation within the ServiceNow platform. Under the direction of the Director, ITSM Transition & Operations, the role would develop, evolve, maintain and socialize the processes and procedures to the business and technology teams required, including 3rd party vendors. This position requires beginner to intermediate ServiceNow skills that enable the delivery of solutions which integrate various enterprise systems in a hybrid cloud environment.
 

Catalog & Request Development

Design, build, and manage service request items, workflows, and fulfillment processes in the ITSM platform.
Translate business requirements into actionable catalog entries with clear instructions, SLAs, and approval flows.
Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with IT policies and audit requirements.
Develop and maintain Technology’s Service Portfolio (future, active, and retired services) and a customer facing Service Catalog

Strategy, Governance & Portfolio Management

Define and maintain strategy, standards, and governance for the Service Catalog, Service Requests, and Service Portfolio (future, active, retired).
Align catalog offerings with business services, SLAs, and service portfolio.
Establish maturity assessments, gap analysis, and target state definitions for catalog-related practices.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Enablement

Partner with service owners, process managers, and developers to onboard and enhance catalog offerings.
Facilitate workshops, testing, and review sessions to ensure catalog accuracy and usability.
Act as liaison between requestors, fulfillment teams, and platform delivery teams.

User Experience and Continuous Improvement

Monitor user interaction and feedback to improve catalog structure and accessibility.
Analyze KPIs (e.g., request volume, fulfillment time, satisfaction) to identify improvement opportunities.
Recommend enhancements across people, process, and tooling dimensions. 

Training, Communication & Adoption

Conduct training and socialization sessions for catalog and request processes.
Provide knowledge transfer to support teams and end-users.
Promote adoption of standardized practices across the organization.

Qualification

Experience (3-5 years) in IT Service Management or ITIL methodologies
ServiceNow Fundamentals and Administrator certification required
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Analysis, or related field.
Proven experience in process design, gap analysis, and institutionalizing target state processes.

We are currently hiring an intern looking for a winter term position, January to April 2026, in our Winnipeg office.
