The Opportunity
The RESP group at IG Wealth Management is looking for a dedicated Coordinator to join our team. Process Management & Administration provides administrative and servicing support for multiple lines of business including Mortgages, Insurance, IGFS, IGFS Nominee and IGSI and provides administrative processing and servicing support to IGM clients, Consultant Network, Planning Specialists and Regional Offices and other areas.
 
As a Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to do your best work by
 

Providing high-quality service to external and internal customers. Performing account management and servicing activities for client accounts in both English and French. Interpreting and analyzing documentation for the input and processing of a variety of registered and non-registered investment products, ensuring request are completed in accordance with IG Wealth Management’s policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines.   
Creating effortless experiences for our clients. Providing support to internal departments and external clients for all client requests received.  Applying business knowledge and encourage client focus mindset. 
Identifying opportunities for change and optimization in a collaborative manner. Collaboration with internal business partners to continuously improve business processes.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Financial industry experience: 1-2 years of financial industry experience, and a passion for creating and delivering outstanding customer experiences.  Familiarity with back-office data processes, procedures, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Fundserv, PlatformZero, TreX, SAS and RBroker operating systems.
Relationship management: Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with your teams, peers, and business partners across the company both in person and in a virtual environment.  Must be highly engaged, displaying a professional attitude, with strong customer orientation.
Results oriented mindset: Detail-oriented with strong decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Passion for self-development and learning.
Strategic thinker: Ability to problem solve and make decisions considering regulatory environments.
Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills. Bilingual in English & French would be an asset.
Planning and Organization: Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to multi-task and adapt to frequently changing priorities.
Education: Post-secondary education in Business Administration and/or related field. Industry-related courses, such as CSC and IFC an asset but not required.
Availability: Candidates must be available to work a shift between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM CST Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime work during the weekday and weekends. This is a hybrid role and in office expectations will evolve and align with business needs.

Relevant experience of business processes, rules, procedures and outcomes.
Relevant experience of how client data is maintained in the Transfer Agency systems.
High level knowledge of how financial transactions are calculated or reported / and or expertise in transaction processing.
Independent and adaptive learner with analytical skills to support multiple IGM applications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel (advanced), MS Access)
Knowledge of SQL or VBA scripts is an asset.
Successful completion of the Canadian Investment Funds course/Operations Course or the Canadian Securities Course is an asset.

Position Summary:
The Senior Specialist plays an integral role in supporting advisors in servicing the needs of advisor and clients and manage escalations, exceptions, and inquiries.  This role is responsible for managing complex cases and making critical and time sensitive decisions that will enhance client satisfaction by using acquired experience, resources, and precedents. The Senior Specialist will act as a critical liaison between clients/advisors, other internal departments, and other WMO &ECC operations team members as well as coordinate the timely execution of escalated cases by triaging cases, escalating directly with other financial institutions, completing root cause analysis, and providing feedback to internal partners to further enhance processes, procedures, and coaching. 
 
Duties Include, but are not limited to:

Coordinate any work performed by other service departments (Region Office Operations, Operations Services, Brokerage Operations, Legal, Compliance, etc.) and ensure appropriate service levels are provided to avoid financial losses and reputational damage.
Provide personalized assistance and administrative support on requirements, forms and submission methods, schedule and facilitate a pre-submission full review meeting for extensive assistance to advisors and their teams, pre and post submission of their requests. Proactively communicate with the advisor’s team regarding NIGO (fully review NIGOs to determine if valid or can be resolved internally and support advisor through the resolution process), status updates, follow-ups, and confirmation upon completion of all transactions. Proactively anticipate service concerns and work with colleagues to develop solutions.
Proactively escalate by calling or meeting with external business partners and other financial institutions for quick resolution.
Conduct research & analysis of complex and/or escalated issues to determine the best course of action for resolution.
Analyze the root cause of errors and trends to proactively implement changes to improve overall client satisfaction.
Identify areas of improvement to increase accuracy and efficiency of processing.

Provide feedback to leadership team on the knowledge & skills of the team members.
Communicate with internal and external business partners to explain current functions, procedures, policy, and problem resolution.
Maintain broad knowledge of business policy & procedures and participate in relevant training and development opportunities.

 
Qualifications:

Post-secondary education in a related field
Knowledge of core products, services, policies & procedures for investment offerings
Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with demonstrated ability to articulate relevant information and direction in an organized and concise manner.
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong PC skills and practical experience with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Advanced knowledge of internal systems (All digital tools: SAS, DCA, TREX, Transact, Salesforce (Advisor Portal, Digital Forms, DocuSign), Platform Zero.) and proven desire and ability to learn quickly.
Bilingual is an asset (French & English)

We are currently looking for a Manager, Compliance, to join our Compliance department located across Canada. The mandate of the Compliance Department is to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements affecting investment dealers, including rules, policies and by-laws of the self-regulatory organization of the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO), provincial securities commissions, insurance commissions/councils and other regulators. The Department works closely with Distribution Leadership and other management to develop appropriate corporate policies, identifies and promotes good business practices, executes business review programs to monitor sales practices, manages client complaint resolution processes and conducts branch examination programs. 
 

The Manager, Compliance, is registered to supervise the activities of IG Wealth Management registrants. 

 

Responsibilities include:

Conducting Tier 1 supervision activities including conducting reviews of daily and monthly trading, account opening and KYC updates, outside activities, social media supervision, and service-related complaint resolution on either the investment dealer or mutual fund dealer platform, and or both.

Supporting IG Wealth Management registrants in resolving compliance issues with regulatory guideline interpretation and with inquiries relating to acceptance of unique or exceptional situations.

Managing regulatory obligations and commitments, such as the 90-day training program, 6-month supervision, periodic on-site sub-branch visits, continuing education, as well as close supervision.

Identifying training requirements, implementing and coordinating the delivery of training programs.

Participating in internal compliance reviews or external regulator audits conducted in Head Office or Branch/Sub-Branch office locations.
 

Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in a compliance-related environment.

Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant business discipline.

Must qualify to be immediately registered with CIRO as a supervisor for investments, mutual funds or both.

If currently qualified as a supervisor for mutual funds only, the candidate must commit to completing the following courses within 1 year from hire, including the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices (CPH), and Investment Dealer Supervisor Course.

Will have to meet other continuing education requirements as required by the regulators.

In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry, including understanding of regulatory requirements of CIRO, insurance commissions/councils and other regulators.

Strong oral, written and communication skills must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with various levels of staff, including senior management, along with being an effective listener.

Must have a positive and collaborative approach to teamwork.

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, perform multiple tasks, deal with interruptions and meet deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

The ability to communicate verbally and written in French & English (opened to candidates outside of Quebec). For candidates within Quebec, proficiency in the French language (speaking, reading and writing) is mandatory

We are currently looking for a Manager, Compliance, to join our Compliance department located across Canada. The mandate of the Compliance Department is to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements affecting investment dealers, including rules, policies and by-laws of the self-regulatory organization of the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO), provincial securities commissions, insurance commissions/councils and other regulators. The Department works closely with Distribution Leadership and other management to develop appropriate corporate policies, identifies and promotes good business practices, executes business review programs to monitor sales practices, manages client complaint resolution processes and conducts branch examination programs. 
 
The Manager, Compliance, is registered to supervise the activities of IG Wealth Management registrants. 
 
Responsibilities include:

Conducting Tier 1 supervision activities including conducting reviews of daily and monthly trading, account opening and KYC updates, outside activities, social media supervision, and service-related complaint resolution on either the investment dealer or mutual fund dealer platform, and or both.
Supporting IG Wealth Management registrants in resolving compliance issues with regulatory guideline interpretation and with inquiries relating to acceptance of unique or exceptional situations.
Managing regulatory obligations and commitments, such as the 90-day training program, 6-month supervision, periodic on-site sub-branch visits, continuing education, as well as close supervision.

Participating in internal compliance reviews or external regulator audits conducted in Head Office or Branch/Sub-Branch office locations.

Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in a compliance-related environment.
Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant business discipline.
Must qualify to be immediately registered with CIRO as a supervisor for investments, mutual funds or both.
If currently qualified as a supervisor for mutual funds only, the candidate must commit to completing the following courses within 1 year from hire, including the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices (CPH), and Investment Dealer Supervisor Course.
Will have to meet other continuing education requirements as required by the regulators.
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry, including understanding of regulatory requirements of CIRO, insurance commissions/councils and other regulators.
Strong oral, written and communication skills must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with various levels of staff, including senior management, along with being an effective listener.

POSITION SUMMARY: 
The Compliance Investigator is responsible for completing investigations of complaints and internal investigations, including determining appropriate investigatory steps, conducting a review, adjudicating the merits of a complaint, completing settlement negotiations with clients, and conducting required follow up on issues raised in each case. The work involves conducting analysis of various sources of information including file documentation, reports, procedures, and interviews to identify trends or issues. The individual will be responsible for identifying appropriate corrective actions, communicating recommendations to affected parties and providing guidance to ensure corrective actions can be effectively implemented and well documented.
 
In addition, this individual will be responsible for managing communications received in the Senior and Vulnerable Client Financial Abuse mailbox, responding to and escalating reviews where warranted, providing leadership and guidance on sensitive issues, as well as recommending process/policy improvements and corrective actions.  
As this role requires bilingual communications, French speaking clients, Advisors, and Quebec regulators are a focus.
 
DUTIES INCLUDE:

Review and respond to communications received by the Senior and Vulnerable Client Financial Abuse mailbox including investigating concerns to determine next steps and provide guidance as needed primarily related to clients and Advisors based in Quebec
Actively participant in the Senior and Vulnerable working group, staying up to date on regulations involving Senior and Vulnerable clients and assist with creation of Senior and Vulnerable Client and webinars and training materials.

Develop effective relationships with Clients, Regional Management, Advisors and Regulators to ensure the timely resolution of complaints
Investigate complaint and internal investigation matters through direct contact with Clients, Advisors, Branch Managers, Regional Management, and other internal business units
Conduct a detailed review and analysis of complaints and internal investigations, adjudicate and recommend an appropriate course of action to resolve the matter.
Provide coaching and guidance to the Senior Compliance Specialist on the research and analysis required
Identify apparent trends and deficiencies that may have contributed to a complaint situation and recommend appropriate corrective action

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 7 years of experience in a financial services environment, preferably in a compliance-related role
Post-secondary degree in a relevant business discipline
Successful completion of industry courses, such as the Certified Financial Planners Program (CFP or equivalent program in Quebec) is considered an asset
Completion of or commitment to complete, Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
Life Licensing Qualification Program (LLPQ) or equivalent program in Quebec is an asset
