Position (details)
The Director of Procurement Operations is primarily responsible for managing the corporate procurement functions in the Procure to Pay (P2P) process and provides overall direction for transactional procurement activities.  The role also oversees corporate travel, mailroom services, corporate wireless plan, office supplies and on-site specialized print services and has day-to-day accountability for the relationship with suppliers who directly support these functions.
 
In addition, the role oversees the development and identification of continuous improvement initiatives on the policies, processes, master data, analytics and reporting that support the efficient execution of the various sub functions within Procurement Services. The role is also accountable for the daily operation of the department’s tools and platforms. 
 
 Responsibilities:

Strategic Oversight

Collaborate with Procurement Leadership to:

Develop and implement the department’s strategic vision, establish goals, objectives, and budget
Ensure integration across all procurement functions; enable seamless interaction of tasks and activities across teams
Implement leading-edge procurement practices aligned with Procurement’s operating model to support achievement of Procurement’s mandates

Manages progress to performance metrics to ensure Procurement is tracking its objectives

Procurement Operations & Business Support

Oversees the development and implementation of standardized processes, approaches, and templates for use across all Procurement functions that enables efficiency and achievement of Procurement’s objectives
Oversees and provides best practices on establishing Procurement’s data management strategy and development of IT processes to create, publish and update information and technology policies by collaborating with internal and external subject matter experts
Implements strategies for the various activities related to the Corporate Travel, Corporate Card, Corporate Mailroom Services and Corporate Wireless Plan functions including tracking expenses and reporting on KPIs
Manages the day-to-day relationship with suppliers that provide goods and services as part of the Procurement Services portfolio 
Develops the approach, techniques and tools for analytics and reporting including spend and cost analytics
Accountable for the daily operation of the Source-to-Contract platform, eSignature process on contracts, market data subscription optimization platform as well as mail/courier portals and other departmental tools.   

 

Purchasing and Contract Administration

Oversees the procurement related Procure-to-Pay functions to ensure integration with the supplier life cycle
Provides coaching for the team on the sourcing of low dollar value requisitions from requesting quotations, negotiations to issuing the PO
Maintains the centralized supplier contract database and administers the eSignature process

Develops strategy and provides oversight for managing purchases made through the P-Card program

 

People Leadership

Direct management of up to 6 direct reports with an extended team of approximately 24 team members
Ensures performance objectives are clearly defined and articulated
Provides timely and comprehensive feedback on staff performance during review periods
Retains quality people; develops a team of professionals by cross-training, coaching, and mentoring

 
Requirements:
Experience:

7-10+ years of experience in Procurement and Sourcing including leadership in governance, process, systems, and data functions
Knowledge on RFx competitive bidding process and managing low to medium dollar value, low to medium complexity purchasing initiatives
Superior knowledge on general ledger, cost centre and account code structures across a complex hierarchical organizational structure
Expertise with category management, spend analysis and reporting
Experience in managing P-card program
Knowledge in administration and implementation of Source-to-Pay platforms
Experience in using e-procurement software
Experience in Change Management
Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret and synthesize complex data
Experience with strategic planning, forecasting, budgeting, performance matrix
Ability to coach and manage teams
Exceptional analytical skills to gather relevant information, identify key issues, critically compare information, develop conclusions, and develop well-supported recommendations

Clearly convey ideas, information and materials to individuals and groups

Preferred:

Position (details)
The Senior Manager TPG Risk plays a critical role in supporting and enforcing an effective third-party governance framework focusing on inherent and residual risks with suppliers and related third-parties across the organization. This position is responsible for supporting the Director, TPRM and Reporting by conducting inherent risk assessments for supplier engagements initiated through the Procurement Intake process, ensuring that appropriate residual risk mitigation strategies are logged and tracked. 
 
Additionally, the Senior Manager TPG Risk will provide support for identifying, monitoring and reporting on key risk indicators and ensuring compliance with various regulatory requirements (e.g. OSFI B-10) and all IGM Company frameworks and policies for an effective third-party risk management program.  
 
 Responsibilities:

Third Party Governance Strategic Oversight (70%)

Inherent Risk Assessments (50%)

Conducts inherent risk assessments for supplier engagements submitted via the Procurement Intake Process.
Maintains data and reporting in the Source-to-Contract platform for supplier risk profiles, Dun & Bradstreet reports, completed Inherent Risk Questionnaires (IRQ) and Materiality Assessments.
Reviews findings for high-risk engagements (at RFx or contracting stages) with business leaders and governance stakeholders.
Engages Risk partners as needed and ensures appropriate escalation and documentation.

TPG Risk Process Oversight(20%) 

Provides input into third-party governance and risk management processes to ensure awareness and compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. OSFI B-10). 
Drives awareness and compliance to all IGM company frameworks and policies for effective TPRM oversight of suppliers. 
Contributes to the ongoing development and enhancement of the TPG Risk framework, procedures, and tools to support program maturity.

 

TPG Risk Reporting (30%)

Collaborates with various risk stakeholders to provide regular risk reporting and inputs to KRI’s.
Provides trend analysis, compiles and validates materials for updates at various forums and committees.
Consolidates risk data and maintains TPG Risk questionnaires, dashboards and reporting tools.

 
Requirements:
Experience:

5-7 years of experience in conducting or overseeing inherent risk assessments, due diligence, and control evaluations for third-party engagements
Experience working with stakeholders from across the organization including procurement, IT risk, legal, audit, and compliance staff

Strong knowledge of third-party risk management (TPRM) principles, frameworks, and methodologies
Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret and synthesize complex data
Advanced level of understanding of Microsoft Office Tools (e.g., Excel, PPT, Word, Project Access)
Exceptional analytical skills to gather relevant information, identify key issues, critically compare information, develop conclusions, and develop well-supported recommendations
Clearly convey ideas, information and materials to individuals and groups
Ability to influence and manage senior to executive level stakeholders using advanced negotiation, facilitation, and mediation skills

Experience using a Sourcing or GRC tool (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Ivalua , RSA Archer,  MetricStream etc.)
CISM, CRISC, or CISSP designation
Experience with creating, applying and monitoring compliance with frameworks and policies

The Manager, Compliance, is registered to supervise the activities of IG Wealth Management registrants. 

 

Responsibilities include:

Conducting Tier 1 supervision activities including conducting reviews of daily and monthly trading, account opening and KYC updates, outside activities, social media supervision, and service-related complaint resolution on either the investment dealer or mutual fund dealer platform, and or both.

Supporting IG Wealth Management registrants in resolving compliance issues with regulatory guideline interpretation and with inquiries relating to acceptance of unique or exceptional situations.

Managing regulatory obligations and commitments, such as the 90-day training program, 6-month supervision, periodic on-site sub-branch visits, continuing education, as well as close supervision.

Identifying training requirements, implementing and coordinating the delivery of training programs.

Participating in internal compliance reviews or external regulator audits conducted in Head Office or Branch/Sub-Branch office locations.
 

Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in a compliance-related environment.

Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant business discipline.

Must qualify to be immediately registered with CIRO as a supervisor for investments, mutual funds or both.

If currently qualified as a supervisor for mutual funds only, the candidate must commit to completing the following courses within 1 year from hire, including the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices (CPH), and Investment Dealer Supervisor Course.

Will have to meet other continuing education requirements as required by the regulators.

Responsibilities:

Oversee day to day operations of the accounts payable team

Ensure adherence to policies, procedure, and internal controls, safeguarding Company assets and reducing the risk of financial loss

Ensure accurate vendor records and approval lists for authorizing payment invoices, employee reimbursements and other disbursements.

Lead accounts payable driven system or process implementations

Act as the key resource and accounts payable lead on corporate initiatives impacting accounts payable

Requirements:

Post secondary degree or equivalent – Business/Accounting related

Seven plus years of progressive accounting experience with a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience.

Accounts payable experience.

Proficiency in SAP Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets and Concur would be an asset.

Knowledge of AI technologies would be an asset.

The Role:
