The Mortgage Finance Department is accepting applications for the position of Senior Analyst, Finance within IG Wealth Management.  Reporting to the Director, Finance, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for reviewing and reporting on the day to day activities of the Mortgage Operations. The candidate will use judgement to provide decision-making support for the daily mortgage operations.  The role will ensure that day to day cash movements match the daily mortgage transactions and related changes in daily mortgage balances.

 

Specific responsibilities:

Preparing daily, weekly and monthly accounting reconciliations and analysis.

Preparing daily, weekly and monthly operational reports.

Preparing and/or processing daily, weekly and monthly journal entries.

Creating / writing queries to generate reports required to maintain mortgage operations (SQL, HANA)

Work with internal and external regulators and auditors.

Work closely with other Mortgage Finance and Mortgage Operations personnel.

Support and improve internal controls over systems and financial processes.

 

Qualifications:

Post-secondary Degree, Diploma in Business and/or enrollment in a recognized Accounting program.

Minimum of four years of accounting related experience is required.

Proficient in the Microsoft suite of products, specifically Excel & Access.

Ability to write queries to create reports from Data Warehouse using SQL is considered an asset.

Experience dealing with mortgages and the related data requirements is considered an asset.

Keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills are required.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively handle pressures of deadlines, changing priorities and work volumes.

Ability to work autonomously, take initiative and assume responsibility.

Department summary:  The Mortgage, Insurance & Banking business leads the strategic direction of innovative product and service development in an effort to provide superior wealth planning, advice, and well-being for affluent Canadians.  As part of the Mortgage, Insurance & Banking division, the Partnership Management and Delivery team provides support in the overall management of multiple complex partner relationships across Mortgage and Banking and in delivering change initiatives in IG and partner environments, including partner relationship and contract management, incident and escalation triage, operational data and analytics, and delivery for the Mortgage & Banking business.    

 

Position:

As a part of the Partnership Management and Delivery team, the Senior Specialist, Mortgage & Banking Delivery is responsible for leading and executing change management activities in advancing the Mortgage and Banking business lines. This individual will be expected to apply structured change methodologies while working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure the successful implementation of change and project initiatives related to Mortgage and Banking product and distribution activities.

 

Responsibilities:

Manage change intake process and provide oversight of change activities within Mortgage and Banking

Qualifications:

Successful completion of a post-secondary education in a related discipline (e.g., Business Administration, Commerce)

2+ years of relevant experience within the Financial Services Industry with a focus on change/project management tools and approaches.  Completion of Change Management certification and/or project management considered an asset

Strong project delivery and organizational skills to effectively lead multiple projects/tasks with flexibility to manage changing priorities to achieve project objectives and timelines

Department Summary
The Risk Management (“Risk”) Function partners with the business to create a risk engaged culture, provide insights to mitigate threats and seize opportunities, and assesses the company’s risk landscape relative to stakeholder expectations. Responsible for the second line oversight of financial, non-financial, strategic and business risk management across the IGM group of companies, the Risk Function also has responsibility for Corporate Sustainability, CSOX and Insurance programs and administrative oversight of IGM Financial’s internal audit function.
 
Position
The Director, Technology Risk Management (TRM) is responsible delivering the second line of defence TRM program and overseeing risk management activities conducted by the 1st line of defence related to technology risks. This position reports to the AVP, Technology Risk, and is part of the broader risk management team under the leadership of IGM’s EVP and Chief Risk Officer.
As a valued member of our team, you will work with a team of risk professionals to ensure the company executes technology risk management activities in a structured and consistent manner. This approach will align with the company’s risk management and risk appetite frameworks, including the identification, measurement, management, monitoring and reporting of technology risks. Responsibilities 

Oversight and Effective Challenge: Provide second line challenge and oversight duties in crucial technology risk domains, including Information Security, Data Governance, and Information Technology Solutions & Availability

Risk Culture: Foster a strong risk culture within the organization, closely collaborating with operational units, business leaders, and senior management to build strong, collaborative and trusting relationships

Risk Identification: Lead independent assessment and oversight activities, leveraging a range of risk management and identification techniques (e.g. RCSA, thematic reviews, control testing, risk treatment decision challenges) to evaluate the design and effectiveness of first line controls and processes.

Risk Profiling: Maintain a strong understanding of the company’s technology control environment, ensuring the effective conduct of risk assessments for internal controls and operational practices.

Role & Responsibility

The Senior Security Platform Specialist (IAM Architecture) is a member of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team responsible for designing, operating and maintaining Identity Management, Secrets Management and Privileged Access Management (PAM) platforms for the enterprise.

The Senior Security Platform Specialist (IAM Architecture) will work with project teams to architect secure IAM and PAM solutions destined for multi-cloud and on-prem environments.

Working with business, security, and other technical team members, the Senior Security Platform Specialist (IAM Architecture) will be responsible in technical security architectural requirements, design, and delivery of the SailPoint IdentityNow, Active Directory, Secrets Management and Privileged Access Management platforms. This role will lead the development of toolsets that brings centralization, security, and timely access to resources and will work closely with IAM Engineering, Operations and DevOps team members.  The role is also expected to do hands on development/configuration work.

This is a deep technical, delivery and leadership-oriented role, and provides a unique opportunity to work closely with numerous business and functional areas across IGM.

The Role:

Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Enterprise Compliance will be responsible for managing various aspects of IGM’s Enterprise Compliance programs.

 

Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Compliance, the Senior Manager, Enterprise Compliance is responsible for the management and execution of the privacy program, and supporting other Enterprise Compliance programs as needed, including unclaimed property, CASL and/or code of conduct.

 

The Senior Manager, Enterprise Compliance provides support and guidance business units in respect of regulatory and policy requirements and updates.

 

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain strong expertise in federal and provincial privacy regulations and best practices, providing guidance to business units as needed.

Proactively monitor, analyze and respond to privacy and other regulatory changes and industry developments impacting IGM’s business units.

Maintain and update Enterprise Compliance frameworks, policies and procedures, with a primary focus on privacy.

Manage and perform complex privacy impact assessments (PIAs), and provide expert guidance to business units, and Enterprise Compliance team members in respect of PIAs.

Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to support the development common policies, practices and approaches, where applicable.

Drive and support continuous improvement of Enterprise Compliance programs, proactively identifying and responding to regulatory and operational risks.

Manage and lead the resolution priority privacy matters and other regulatory inquiries from the business units, ensuring timely and effective solutions.

Oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting and presentation materials used for internal oversight and board committees.

Develop and review training and communications to keep business stakeholders informed on privacy and other regulatory and policy matters as needed.

Represent Enterprise Compliance as a subject matter expert on cross-functional projects initiated by stakeholders across the organization. 

Consult and liaise with regulators, industry groups and external parties as required.

Support the Director, Enterprise Compliance on various matters and collaborate with and support other Enterprise Compliance team members to effectively execute on key functions.

 

Experience/Skills/Education:

Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience.

Minimum 6-8 years of financial services or mutual fund experience, most recently in a compliance, or related role, with privacy experience preferred.

Knowledge of federal and provincial privacy regulations, CASL, and securities legislation and/or CIRO rules.

Completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or Canadian Investment Funds Course (IFIC) or comparable course preferred.

Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to individuals at all levels within the organization, as well as legal counsel, auditors and regulators.

Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail.

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to respond to multiple demands and prioritize work activities within required deadlines.

Ability to work independently with little supervision or guidance.

Proficiency with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Enterprise Architect – Cloud Technologies

Role

The Senior IGM Cloud Architect leverages their deep understanding of the Microsoft Azure, Googe Cloud Platform, and Amazon Web Services hyperscale cloud services to establish and maintain secure, reliable, and efficient integrated environment to host IGM applications and services.

The Role

We are currently looking for a Sr. Manager, Compensation to join our IGM Human Resources department located in Toronto, Winnipeg or Montreal.

Within the Human Resources Department of IGM, the Compensation team supports the company and its business units to attract, engage, and retain top talent by ensuring competitive compensation packages are offered and excellence in performance is rewarded. The team has overall responsibility for the design, implementation, and administration of all compensation programs.

As a valued member of the Compensation team your core responsibilities will include:

 

Sales Compensation Program Management:

Work closely with the compensation leadership team in the development and design of IGM’s sales compensation programs supporting the Asset Management and Wealth Management businesses.

 

Lead the implementation and administration of the sales compensation plans including:

Working with key business stakeholders including senior leaders and the sales team in the management of the compensation plans including regular communication, reporting, and analysis

Elevate the sales team and sales leaders’ understanding of the compensation plans to ensure it successfully drives behaviours and achieves key performance metrics

Work with key stakeholders in the calculation process including members of the Compensation, Finance and Sales Analytics teams to ensure the commissions are managed within a timely, accurate and efficient process

Lead the collaboration with technology and compensation team in the continued development and improvement of the Specialized Incentive Plan Tool which is the system that calculates, reports and forecasts incentives.

Team Leadership

The following qualifications are required of the successful candidate:

5-7 years of progressive/relevant business experience in employee compensation
