The Opportunity

The Cash Management Operations group at IG Wealth Management is looking for a dedicated Coordinator to join our team. Process Management & Administration provides administrative and servicing support for multiple lines of business including Mortgages, Insurance, IGFS, IGFS Nominee and IGSI and provides administrative processing and servicing support to IGM clients, Consultant Network, Planning Specialists and Regional Offices and other areas.

 

The Cash Management Team is responsible for the analysis and efficient execution of the overall NN/IGSI client experience of core processing and data integrity of client administration including; cash management of client accounts, fee administration, Money Market Chequing administration, bank wire processing. The primary objective of the team is to provide accurate and efficient administration, processing and service support.  The delivery of overall service excellence is adhered to by closely monitoring reports, analyzing and tracking service standard.

 

The Coordinator will be responsible for providing efficient and timely administration of payments whether internal or external; ensuring all payment administration work that is carried out is compliant with internal procedures.  Prepare accurately and in accordance with the agreed service level agreements or relevant client services deadlines in a cost-effective manner and adherence to risk management guidelines. The position requires the ability to identify areas for continuous improvement that create efficiency and quality to workflow processes and procedures on an ongoing basis.

 

As a Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to do your best work by:

Providing high-quality service to external and internal customers. Performing account management and servicing activities for client accounts in both English and French. Interpreting and analyzing documentation for the input and processing of a variety of registered and non-registered investment products, ensuring request are completed in accordance with IG Wealth Management’s policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines.

Creating effortless experiences for our clients. Providing support to internal departments and external clients for all client requests received. Applying business knowledge and encourage client focus mindset. 

Identifying opportunities for change and optimization in a collaborative manner. Collaboration with internal business partners to continuously improve business processes.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Financial industry experience: 1-2 years of financial industry experience, and a passion for creating and delivering outstanding customer experiences. Familiarity with back-office data processes, procedures, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Fundserv, PlatformZero, TreX, SAS and RBroker operating systems.

Relationship management: Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with your teams, peers, and business partners across the company both in person and in a virtual environment.  Must be highly engaged, displaying a professional attitude, with strong customer orientation.

Results oriented mindset: Detail-oriented with strong decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Passion for self-development and learning.

Strategic thinker: Ability to problem solve and make decisions considering regulatory environments. 

Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills. Bilingual in English & French would be an asset.

Planning and Organization: Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to multi-task and adapt to frequently changing priorities.

Education: Post-secondary education in Business Administration and/or related field. Industry-related courses, such as CSC and IFC an asset but not required.

Availability: Candidates must be available to work a shift between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM CST Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime work during the weekday and weekends. This is a hybrid role and in office expectations will evolve and align with business needs.

The Role

We are currently looking for a Sr. Manager, Compensation to join our IGM Human Resources department located in Toronto, Winnipeg or Montreal.

Within the Human Resources Department of IGM, the Compensation team supports the company and its business units to attract, engage, and retain top talent by ensuring competitive compensation packages are offered and excellence in performance is rewarded. The team has overall responsibility for the design, implementation, and administration of all compensation programs.

As a valued member of the Compensation team your core responsibilities will include:

 

Sales Compensation Program Management:

Work closely with the compensation leadership team in the development and design of IGM’s sales compensation programs supporting the Asset Management and Wealth Management businesses.

 

Lead the implementation and administration of the sales compensation plans including:

Working with key business stakeholders including senior leaders and the sales team in the management of the compensation plans including regular communication, reporting, and analysis

Elevate the sales team and sales leaders’ understanding of the compensation plans to ensure it successfully drives behaviours and achieves key performance metrics

Work with key stakeholders in the calculation process including members of the Compensation, Finance and Sales Analytics teams to ensure the commissions are managed within a timely, accurate and efficient process

Lead the collaboration with technology and compensation team in the continued development and improvement of the Specialized Incentive Plan Tool which is the system that calculates, reports and forecasts incentives.

Provide expert advice to HR Business Partners on compensation decisions and impacts related to the Asset Management and Wealth Management businesses.
 

Team Leadership

Provide operational guidance to other members of the Compensation team

Contributes to strategic planning activities by:

Identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies and make recommendations for improvements

Establish practices and procedures for new processes, working with the compensation leadership team and other HR partners to ensure successful implementation
 

The following qualifications are required of the successful candidate:

5-7 years of progressive/relevant business experience in employee compensation

University degree in business administration or related disciplines and Compensation Professional Discipline is preferred

Strong analytical and numeric skills with the ability to interpret and communicate the data effectively

Demonstrated experience with compensation principles and concepts, including knowledge of job evaluation, pay structure, variable pay experience, pay equity legislation, annual merit budgeting, and the use of competitive pay analysis

Proactive leader with proven decision-making skills and the ability to manage expectations effectively to successfully achieve multiple, competing priorities

Proven experience working with business leaders and senior professionals

Position

Role & Responsibility

The AVP, IT Risk is responsible for First Line of Defense for IGM with responsibility for planning, directing, controlling, identifying and managing the inherent operational risks in products, activities, processes and systems across IGM.

 

This role sets the enterprise risk strategy and risk appetite and matures, expands and optimizes IGM’s information risk management capabilities while positioning the organization to be agile and ready to respond to ever-changing threat landscape and security risks.

 

The AVP directs staff in execution of the risk strategy to ensure information and information technology risks are within acceptable levels.

 

Risk Strategy

Responsible for designing, advising, supervising and coordinating the implementation, management and execution of the IGM IT security, risk and compliance framework

Collaborate with the Executive Leadership team to develop an enterprise security vision and first line of defence strategy

Develop and publish risk management policies and guidelines including third party risk assessments, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments and continuous monitoring

Distill and report on issues to leadership and where applicable to 2nd Line of Defense Partners

Lead discussions with 2nd Line partners about potential solutions to issues identified

Partner with other members on the Governance and Control teams to assess business and regulatory risk

Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements to identify new opportunities and assess potential impacts

Ensure risk issues are identified, managed and reported per enterprise policy/guidelines and ensure appropriate escalation processes are followed

 

Execution and Operational Support

Execute on First Line of Defense

Support experts in the execution of the Agile and Waterfall project methodology across lines of business

Provides guidance and expert advice into the management of application security risks, and influences the identification, measurement, and management of cyber security risk

Support the successful launch of new initiatives by finding the right balance of governance and controls while ensuring activities are within IGM’s risk appetite and risk management policies

Be the Subject Matter Expert/first point of contact for respective risk/control function responding in a timely manner to support project execution

Provide guidance on detailed business requirements for projects to address regulatory requirements and expectations

Work closely with Transformation delivery teams to provide support, guidance and analysis on business risk and regulatory compliance issues

Support transparency with 2nd Line of Defense risk control partners through engagement, defined interaction model and issuance of processes, requirements and/or artifacts supporting their mandate of oversight and challenge

Support for various risk functions within IGM

Uses various risk identification, measurement, management and monitoring tools such as Risk and Control Assessments (RCAs), Threat and Risk Assessments (TRAs), Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), scenarios, key risk indicators, event reporting, and incident reporting

Gather metrics and ensure Information security incidents are identified, reported, mitigated and resolved in a timely, accurate and sustainable manner

Take end to end ownership of cybersecurity owned programs and related activities including security policies, vendor risk and compliance management, regulatory audits, security awareness and training, security integration and assessment of M&A and related ventures

Works with all levels of the organization to ensure understanding and implementation of IT Risk and Security policies and procedures, processes and controls

Develop metrics, measurement methodologies, reporting and processes (including Key Risk Indicators) to consolidate, interpret and report enterprise risk information to senior management, Board, regulators and external ratings agencies

Continuously evaluate cybersecurity controls to ensure effectiveness, compliance and adherence to key controls and policies and drive its remediation efforts

New Grad Rotational Program – Operations Stream  

We are currently hiring students in their final year of study looking for opportunities after graduation.  The New Grad Rotational Program offers students the opportunity to complete four rotations over a two-year period with the opportunity to be placed full-time after completion.  The participants will develop a strong understanding of the business’s big picture and how each department contributes to the success of the organization.

The Opportunity

The External Transfer In group at IG Wealth Management is looking for a Coordinator to join our team. Process Management and Administration provides administrative and servicing support for multiple lines of business including Mortgages, Insurance, IGFS, IGFS Nominee and IGSI and provides administrative processing and servicing support to IGM clients, Consultant Network, Planning Specialists and Regional Offices and other areas.

 

As a Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to do your best work by

Providing high-quality service to external and internal customers. Performing account management and servicing activities for client accounts in both English and French. Interpreting and analyzing documentation for the input and processing of a variety of registered and non-registered investment products, ensuring request are completed in accordance with IG Wealth Management’s policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines.

Creating effortless experiences for our clients. Providing support to internal departments and external clients for all client requests received. Applying business knowledge and encourage client focus mindset.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Financial industry experience: 1-2 years of financial industry experience, and a passion for creating and delivering outstanding customer experiences. Familiarity with back-office data processes, procedures, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Fundserv, PlatformZero, TreX, and RBroker operating systems.

Relationship management: Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with your teams, peers, and business partners across the company both in person and in a virtual environment. Must be highly engaged, displaying a professional attitude, with strong customer orientation.

Results oriented mindset: Detail-oriented with strong decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Passion for self-development and learning.

Strategic thinker: Ability to problem solve and make decisions considering regulatory environments.

Communication: Bilingual in English & French. Strong written and oral communication skills in both languages.

Education: Post-secondary education in Business Administration and/or related field. Industry-related courses, such as CSC and IFC an asset but not required.

Availability: Candidates must be available to work a shift between 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM CST Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime work during the weekday and weekends.

Position

Located in our Winnipeg office, the IT Risk team is critical part of Investors Group / Mackenzie Investments (IGM Financial).

Reporting to the Director of IT Risk, the Intern candidate’s core responsibilities will include: 

Creation and maintenance of security-centric documents, policies, standards, rules, and procedures

Write threat intelligence briefs based on security and IT risk event disclosures in the news media, and research impact of newly discovered information security risks

Identify and analyze data to evaluate effectiveness of security controls

Assist Risk Analysts and Advisors to prioritized remediation recommendations

Drive remediation efforts based on the results of security scans across all IT disciplines

Assist in designing effective security controls

Support security and risk education and awareness campaigns to further drive cyber-resilience across the organization using Microsoft Office suite of products

Create re-usable awareness materials and articles for various periodicals and intranet sites

The following qualifications are required of the successful candidate:

Enrolled in a post-secondary education program in a relevant technology discipline or designation/certification, or bring transferable skills and general knowledge of technology

The Architecture and Technology Innovation team at IGM is made up of dedicated leaders who establish a set of technical patterns and standards to provide a foundation to enable modern, simple, digitized processes in support of changing business needs and strategy over time.   The Architects and Analysts in the Architecture and Technology Innovation team collaborate with our Corporate, Digital, Infrastructure, Delivery and Operations teams to understand the foundational technology needs that will support IGM’s business strategy and the delivery of required platforms and solutions.  Team members support the Architecture Community of Practice which includes representation from Digital and Corporate Platforms, Integration and Automation, Data Office, Security Architecture, Network Architecture, End User Infrastructure, DevOps and Architecture Governance.
