As a member of our Digital Technology team at IGM Financial, you will be joining a dynamic and highly collaborative group with experience in and passion for delivering innovative solutions for our clients, advisors, and employees using the latest technology and insights. As a Director Digital Delivery you will work closely with business partners across the Investors Group and Mackenzie Investments strategic transformation portfolio. You will have an opportunity to partner up with business and technology stakeholders and external suppliers, contribute directly to the digital roadmap, work closely with our agile teams, and lead the successful execution of strategic initiatives delivering a differentiated experience and digital capabilities to IGM clients, advisors, and employees.

Key Accountabilities

 Manage the business relationship from a Project / Solution-centric approach, partnering closely with Account Managers, and help steer the Development leads

 Support overall planning and demand / partner management discussions with business leaders and technology partners, ensuring alignment and clarity of project-based intake, capacity, prioritization and progress.

 Be a technical advisor by ensuring well considered technology perspectives & expertise are integrated into business decision making processes – by ensuring early engagement and involvement of key technology partners (i.e. Architecture, Development, CoEs).

 Leverage business and technology acumen to translate complex technology concepts into business language; ensuring input and recommendations are addressing and answering business questions and requirements.

 Forge collaborative partnerships; negotiating and building alignment to ensure clear direction across business, technology and 3rd party partners during the execution of projects.

 Communicate project / solution vision, goals and priorities to project team members (e.g. Development, Systems Analysis, CoEs, PMs).

Delivery Accountabilities

 Responsible for ensuring Distribution technology projects deliver on defined business outcomes.

 Be actively engaged and involved in project-level business decisioning – understanding trade-offs and communicating decisions, priorities and relevant project information to technology and business partners

 Ensure stakeholder expectations are clear at the on-set of projects and be proactive in identifying and resolving disconnects through negotiation or governance mechanisms.

 Support the identification and on-boarding of the right skill-sets and capabilities from internal functional team leaders and external partners.

 Monitor projects (in partnership with EPMO) and assist in identifying and addressing issues that could impact meeting timelines, budget and / or scope.

 Ensure operational, reputational & intellectual risks are understood by project teams.

 Ensure the oversight for resolution of escalated IT issues.

 Support the execution of change management activities (i.e., frequent communication about rationale for change, impacts of changes, actions to minimize disruption and achieve desired results)

The Successful Candidate Will Have The Following Experience

 Financial Services Industry experience required

 Extensive experience with digital project delivery and program governance required

 Experience with Agile methodology required

 Scaled agile certification and experience desired, e.g. SAFe

 Salesforce platform experience desired

 University degree required

 Masters degree in Technology or Business desired

OVERVIEW

The Business Managed Technology Solutions (BMTS) team offers exciting and meaningful work experiences that support the development of skills, essential in our fast pace and evolving workplace.  The team utilizes an Agile methodology to manage its automation development initiatives and sustainment responsibilities.

 

BMTS is a member of the Knowledge Management and Operational Design Department.  The team is a key stakeholder as it partners with teams across the IGM service organization to develop automation tools that improve the client and employee experience.  BMTS supports the service organization’s business units with their automation journeys on large strategic projects as well as smaller organic continuous improvement initiatives.  The team also operationally sustains all the automation tools developed in production and maintains collaborative relationships with its clients to ensure servicing goals are consistently achieved.  

 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Managed Technology Solutions, the Senior Analyst will be responsible to support the planning, analysis, development, and deployment of viable initiatives, using various types of automation programs/tools.  The Senior Analyst will actively engage with stakeholders from the IGM Service Organization’s teams and the IGM Integration and Automation COE, to collaborate and coordinate the execution of automation initiatives and their operational maintenance.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Participates in change initiatives impacting the service organization

Represents the service organization as subject matter expert on automation tools within the team’s ownership

Active participation in projects, automation, and business transformation initiatives as an operational knowledge specialist

Acts as the service organization’s primary point of contact for assigned technology initiatives

Participates in selection of automation initiatives, including performing opportunity assessments, current state documentation, solution designs, code development, testing, implementation, and oversight

Analyzes data/information that will support the decision making process

Collaborates with initiative stakeholders and project team resources

Reviews and validates post implementation business outcomes, as required, and identifies sound solutions for exceptions and defects

Responsible to provide status updates to management team and service organization stakeholder and clients within the team’s established communication framework

 

QUALIFICATIONS

5 years or more experience in the Financial Services Industry

Blue Prism coding experience/certification and/or other programing languages (i.e., Object Oriented Programing models)

Experience and/or exposure to front and back office servicing an asset

Experience leading projects and/or project management would be an asset

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Advanced problem solving and analytical skills

Proactive and demonstrates solid decision-making skills in a deadline-oriented environment

Ability to focus on detail while understanding and always connecting to the big picture

Excellent time management skills

Ability to work collaboratively with business partners to meet project mandate or key objectives

What is the position?

The Auditor, Business Audit is an integral part of the Internal Audit team, who will provide assurance, insight and proactive control advice to Management and stakeholders on controls, efficiencies, and risks by participating in the planning, execution, and reporting of audit engagements.

The Role

Reporting to the Director, Technology Tools Engineering, the Senior Service Manager will be responsible for leading the Observability Practice. It is a new role for a growing team to scale the Observability practices within IGM Technology and their 3rd party partners. You will advocate for end-to-end visibility of the full-stack of applications and their systems for incident avoidance and cloud cost optimization. You’ll be a critical leader influencing the leads of Application Development Delivery teams, Infrastructure Engineering teams, and Operations teams on Observability & SRE best practices such as Real User Monitoring, Synthetic Monitoring, Application Performance Monitoring, Error Monitoring, Log Monitoring, and Infrastructure Monitoring including the Network and the Databases. This role will be a subject matter expert in tier-1 premium observability tooling such as Datadog. The Senior Service Manager will lead a team of fulltime staff, contractors and partner vendors implementing the Observability strategy.

 

Key responsibilities:

Team  building and leadership skills

Assist in crafting the strategic vision of the Monitoring, Altering and Observability program at IGM

Drive the optimization of existing tools, keeping abreast of industry trends and recommending enhancements to the program

Subject Matter Expert and evangelist for observability, leading tool adoption and governing best practices

Observability and Site Reliability Engineering coaching across Application Delivery, Infrastructure Delivery, Technology Operations Center, Support & Operations team members

Lead the Observability community of practice

Collaboration with Managers, Architects, Tech Leads from various teams

Maintain roadmaps and manage contractual agreeements

Key Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

10+ years of work experience in Cloud Engineering, App Development, Systems Administration, or Operations

5+ years of work experience in an Enterprise work environment

3+ years of management experience

Ability to lead and mentor

Strong customer service orientation

Good communication (verbal and written) & presentation skills

Effective negotiation skills

Dedication to learning and positive growth mind-set

Advanced experience with Monitoring and Logging

Senior level experience with Scripting and Configuration as Code

Advanced practical experience with Observability tools:

The Senior Security Platform Specialist (IAM Architecture) is a member of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team responsible for designing, operating and maintaining Identity Management, Secrets Management and Privileged Access Management (PAM) platforms for the enterprise.

The Senior Security Platform Specialist (IAM Architecture) will work with project teams to architect secure IAM and PAM solutions destined for multi-cloud and on-prem environments.

Working with business, security, and other technical team members, the Senior Security Platform Specialist (IAM Architecture) will be responsible in technical security architectural requirements, design, and delivery of the SailPoint IdentityNow, Active Directory, Secrets Management and Privileged Access Management platforms. This role will lead the development of toolsets that brings centralization, security, and timely access to resources and will work closely with IAM Engineering, Operations and DevOps team members.  The role is also expected to do hands on development/configuration work.

This is a deep technical, delivery and leadership-oriented role, and provides a unique opportunity to work closely with numerous business and functional areas across IGM.

 

Key Capabilities & Responsibilities

Define strategic security architectures across hybrid technology stacks and cloud hosted IAM, PAM and Secrets Management platforms.

Act as an SME in IAM and PAM platforms on evaluating, designing, and testing solutions and technologies, aligned with the enterprise security platforms, including SailPoint IdentityNow, CyberArk PAM, HashiCorp Vault for Secrets Management, Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory

Deliver architectures and designs in both agile and iterative waterfall project delivery models, and propose and implement enhancements to improve the viability of the solutions to meet program timelines, budget, and quality measurements.

Author patterns to drive reuse of IAM, PAM and Secrets Management solutions across IGM

Liaise with cloud, integration, data, digital, security and infrastructure architecture, development, and engineering teams to ensure that all solution architecture views are defined and elaborated

Develop documentation, architectural, design and workflow diagrams, and test scripts

Review solutions to ensure new and existing applications are implemented to the standards utilizing the RBAC and Zero Trust Security Frameworks

Proactively identify security technology reuse goals and opportunities

Direct the research and evaluation of emerging IAM and PAM technologies, industry, and market trends; and ensure recommendations are based on business relevance, current standards and best practices, appropriate timing, and deployment

Identify potential risks of projects, document and address those risks and work with other teams to resolve issues

Qualifications

A University degree plus at least 5 years’ experience with IAM and PAM architectures and security

Extensive knowledge and experience of IAM and PAM-related security capabilities (i.e. provisioning, birthright roles, entitlements, segregation of duties, authentication, authorization, human and non-human credential and role management, access certification, logging, analytics and reporting, privileged access management, etc.) and their realization across workforce and customer populations

5+ years of hands-on working experience in the participation of design and engineering of enterprise scale SailPoint IdentityNow and CyberArk PAM solutions

5+ years’ experience with Microsoft Windows AD, Entra ID, and LDAP

5+ years’ experience with SailPoint and Java, JavaScript, JSON, XML, SQL, Python

One or more IAM and PAM certifications (SailPoint Certified IdentityIQ Architect and/or SailPoint Certified IdentityNow Engineer, CyberArk Sentry and/or Guardian)

One or more industry recognized information security professional designations (e.g. CISSP, CISA, etc.) is an asset

Superior problem solving and decision-making skills to resolve work issues with the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment

Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail

Excellent documentation and diagraming skills with diligent attention to detail, providing clarity of architecture and design for Engineering and Operations teams

Strategic thinker with strong organizational, project management and time management capabilities

Department summary:  The Mortgage, Insurance & Banking business leads the strategic direction of innovative product and service development in an effort to provide superior wealth planning, advice, and well-being for affluent Canadians.  As part of the Mortgage, Insurance & Banking division, the Partnership Management and Delivery team provides support in the overall management of multiple complex partner relationships across Mortgage and Banking and in delivering change initiatives in IG and partner environments, including partner relationship and contract management, incident and escalation triage, operational data and analytics, and delivery for the Mortgage & Banking business.    

 

Position:

As a part of the Partnership Management and Delivery team, the Senior Specialist, Mortgage & Banking Delivery is responsible for leading and executing change management activities in advancing the Mortgage and Banking business lines. This individual will be expected to apply structured change methodologies while working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure the successful implementation of change and project initiatives related to Mortgage and Banking product and distribution activities.

 

Responsibilities:

Manage change intake process and provide oversight of change activities within Mortgage and Banking

Apply structured methodologies to lead change management activities across change requests with applied business knowledge and awareness of project dependencies

Identify and complete change management assessments as required (i.e. impact, risk, etc.)

Recommend and execute change management strategies for successful implementation of initiatives, including: sponsor and target plans, communication plans, training plans, etc.

Engage with key internal stakeholders as it relates to change/project requests and approvals (i.e. IG Corporate Communication, Marketing, EPMO, OCM and Application Delivery)

Evaluate and define change priorities, objectives, scope and deliverables, in alignment with business goals, working in conjunction with key internal stakeholders or sponsors and external partners

Coordinate the implementation of changes including defining working groups and arranging joint planning sessions with key stakeholders and partners to gain alignment on change management activities

Develop agendas and presentation materials for key forums across stakeholder groups (external and internal)

Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress, resulting in transparency of delivery progress and awareness and understanding by key stakeholders

Support distribution related business needs as part of change adoption and engagement

Contribute to the continued elevation of change management and delivery capabilities and methodologies
 

Qualifications:

Successful completion of a post-secondary education in a related discipline (e.g., Business Administration, Commerce)

2+ years of relevant experience within the Financial Services Industry with a focus on change/project management tools and approaches.  Completion of Change Management certification and/or project management considered an asset

Strong project delivery and organizational skills to effectively lead multiple projects/tasks with flexibility to manage changing priorities to achieve project objectives and timelines

Proven ability to communicate effectively (oral & written) to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and work effectively across all levels of the organization

Demonstrated proficiency and expertise in Microsoft Office 365 application suite with an emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel.  The use of agile project management application tools e.g. JIRA is considered an asset

Ability to work autonomously, with high levels of initiative, accountability, and a progressive attitude towards innovation and change

Investors Group Securities Inc.  (IGSI) is an investment dealer registered in all Canadian jurisdictions with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO).  As a securities dealer, IGSI offers a broad range of investment products including equities, fixed income, money market instruments and mutual funds to support gathering and consolidating assets within IG Wealth Management.  IGSI operates a Trade Centre that supports the IGSI account inquiries and registered trade activity on behalf of our internal and external clients.

The Senior Specialist supports Wealth Planning Specialists, IGSI Consultants and internal departments through the accurate and efficient execution of trades through their broad knowledge on products, services, procedures and regulatory requirements of the company and the industry.  There is one bilingual position that will be filled in Montreal or Winnipeg.

 

DUTIES INCLUDE:

Accurately executes client trades ensuring the adherence to industry and company regulations

Maintains up-to-date knowledge on the industry and company policies, products, and procedures

Upholding ethical and professional requirements as an CIRO registrant

Participates in special projects and assignments

Completion of educational requirements to maintain registration proficiency

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED: Currently licensed as Investment Representative (IR) with IIROC or has completed the CSI Canadian Securities Course (CSC) in the last 3 years and is willing to take the CSI Conduct and Practice Handbook Course (CPH) within 30 days from the start date

REQUIRED: Bilingual (English and French)

Minimum of 2 to 4 years’ experience in the financial services industry

Post-secondary education in a related field

Strong oral communication skills

Proven problem-solving methodology

Accuracy, attention to detail and organization skills required

Knowledge of French and English is required to support clients and Team members within and/ or outside the province of Quebec.
