Position
We are currently hiring an intern looking for a winter term position, January to April 2026.  Candidates must be in an undergraduate or graduate program that will be returning to school after the internship to be eligible to apply.
 
 
Located in our Winnipeg office, the IT Risk team is critical part of IG Wealth Management / Mackenzie Investments (IGM Financial).
 
Reporting to the Director of IT Risk, the Intern candidate’s core responsibilities will include: 

Developing and maintaining IT Risk and Security Advisory documents and libraries
Assessing technology risk associated with 3rd party vendors, policy non-conformities and technology changes
Identifying and analyze data to evaluate effectiveness of security controls
Organizing and triaging incoming work
Supporting monthly and quarterly risk reporting activities
Providing support for internal audit and compliance reviews

 
The following qualifications are required of the successful candidate:

Enrolled in a post-secondary education program in a relevant technology discipline or designation/certification, or bring transferable skills and general knowledge of technology, IT Risk and/or Cyber Security
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proactive and self-motivated with strong attention to detail, problem solving, prioritization and organizational abilities
Proven collaboration and facilitation skills with cross-functional teams
Understanding of cyber security concepts in cloud, API, network security considered an asset

Position (details)
The Senior Specialist, Field Programs Experience owns the end-to-end operational, administrative, and system-based processes for the Field Programs team.  It ensures the seamless onboarding and offboarding – covering everything in between of Advisors, Associates, Wealth Management Assistants, Corporate Advisors and IG Wealth Connect Reps across all platforms with flawless compliance and mapping of each individual to their teams, division and region verifying all documents are received, reviewed and securely stored and keeps licensing statuses current by updating credentials in real time.  It optimizes shared mailboxes by triaging and escalating inquiries in line with SLAs and tracking each issue through to resolution, develops and iterates on forms and templates using user feedback and data trends to eliminate errors, and maintains and audits submissions, focusing on continuous service improvements that scale with business growth.  It also manages field-system identity and access, enforces security requirements, and maintains the functionality and reporting of teaming and other structural configurations to ensure all downstream systems remain aligned. Finally, this position serves as a fully cross-trained partner, guaranteeing uninterrupted coverage and seamless knowledge transfer.
 
Responsibilities:

Administer the licensing and appointment of all new Advisors, Associates, Wealth Management Assistants, Corporate Advisors and IG Wealth Connect Repos on the system; tracks outstanding requirements to ensure compliance with corporate policies.
Lead operational enablement for the team by managing complex administrative functions including budget tracking, invoice processing, and strategic coordination of meetings, events, and cross-functional initiatives.
Own the end-to-end lifecycle of advisor-facing communications by collaborating with area leads to develop, schedule, and distribute field and corporate updates in French and English that align with corporate priorities.
Design, implement, and maintain scalable form and template systems using Adobe and DocuSign, ensuring compliance, accessibility, and continuous improvement across advisor workflows.
Develop and curate best practice frameworks to support advisor onboarding, retention, and productivity, leveraging insights from field feedback and performance data.
Manage the Field Network Administration mailbox as a central triage point—prioritising, resolving, and escalating inquiries while maintaining service-level standards.
Maintain and evolve a dynamic FAQ and procedural knowledge base in OneNote and SharePoint, ensuring content is current, searchable, and aligned with advisor needs.
Coordinate technology and workspace enablement, including subscription access provisioning and support in collaboration with IT and Operations.
Champion a respectful and inclusive workplace, embedding equity and accessibility principles into team practices and advisor-facing materials.
Provide cross-functional backup to team members ensuring continuity of service and knowledge transfer across enablement functions.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 – 4 years’ experience providing support and coordination of administrative duties in the financial services industry or comparable office setting

DEPARTMENT SUMMARY: The mandate of the Compliance Department is to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements affecting mutual fund investment dealers including rules, policies, and by-laws of self-regulatory organizations of Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO), the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), the Chambre de la sécurité financière (CSF), provincial securities commissions, insurance commissions/councils and other regulators. The Department works closely with Distribution Leadership and other management to develop appropriate corporate policies, identifies, and promotes good business practices, executes business review programs to monitor sales practices, manages complaint resolution processes and conducts branch examination programs.
 
POSITION SUMMARY: 
The Compliance Investigator is responsible for completing investigations of complaints and internal investigations, including determining appropriate investigatory steps, conducting a review, adjudicating the merits of a complaint, completing settlement negotiations with clients, and conducting required follow up on issues raised in each case. The work involves conducting analysis of various sources of information including file documentation, reports, procedures, and interviews to identify trends or issues. The individual will be responsible for identifying appropriate corrective actions, communicating recommendations to affected parties and providing guidance to ensure corrective actions can be effectively implemented and well documented.
 
In addition, this individual will be responsible for managing communications received in the Senior and Vulnerable Client Financial Abuse mailbox, responding to and escalating reviews where warranted, providing leadership and guidance on sensitive issues, as well as recommending process/policy improvements and corrective actions.  
As this role requires bilingual communications, French speaking clients, Advisors, and Quebec regulators are a focus.
 
DUTIES INCLUDE:

Review and respond to communications received by the Senior and Vulnerable Client Financial Abuse mailbox including investigating concerns to determine next steps and provide guidance as needed primarily related to clients and Advisors based in Quebec
Actively participant in the Senior and Vulnerable working group, staying up to date on regulations involving Senior and Vulnerable clients and assist with creation of Senior and Vulnerable Client and webinars and training materials.

Develop effective relationships with Clients, Regional Management, Advisors and Regulators to ensure the timely resolution of complaints
Investigate complaint and internal investigation matters through direct contact with Clients, Advisors, Branch Managers, Regional Management, and other internal business units
Conduct a detailed review and analysis of complaints and internal investigations, adjudicate and recommend an appropriate course of action to resolve the matter.
Provide coaching and guidance to the Senior Compliance Specialist on the research and analysis required
Identify apparent trends and deficiencies that may have contributed to a complaint situation and recommend appropriate corrective action

Recommend solutions and participate in the implementation of process improvements and changes to policies and procedures

 
QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 7 years of experience in a financial services environment, preferably in a compliance-related role
Post-secondary degree in a relevant business discipline
Successful completion of industry courses, such as the Certified Financial Planners Program (CFP or equivalent program in Quebec) is considered an asset
Completion of or commitment to complete, Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
Life Licensing Qualification Program (LLPQ) or equivalent program in Quebec is an asset
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and an in-depth understanding of financial planning strategies
Understanding of rules, policies, and by-laws of CIRO, the AMF, the CSF, provincial securities commissions, insurance commissions/councils and other regulators

Qualifications:

We are currently looking for a Manager, Compliance, to join our Compliance department located across Canada. The mandate of the Compliance Department is to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements affecting investment dealers, including rules, policies and by-laws of the self-regulatory organization of the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO), provincial securities commissions, insurance commissions/councils and other regulators. The Department works closely with Distribution Leadership and other management to develop appropriate corporate policies, identifies and promotes good business practices, executes business review programs to monitor sales practices, manages client complaint resolution processes and conducts branch examination programs.  
The Manager, Compliance, is registered to supervise the activities of IG Wealth Management registrants. 
 
Responsibilities include:

Conducting Tier 1 supervision activities including conducting reviews of daily and monthly trading, account opening and KYC updates, outside activities, social media supervision, and service-related complaint resolution on either the investment dealer or mutual fund dealer platform, and or both.

Supporting IG Wealth Management registrants in resolving compliance issues with regulatory guideline interpretation and with inquiries relating to acceptance of unique or exceptional situations.

Managing regulatory obligations and commitments, such as the 90-day training program, 6-month supervision, periodic on-site sub-branch visits, continuing education, as well as close supervision.

Identifying training requirements, implementing and coordinating the delivery of training programs.

Participating in internal compliance reviews or external regulator audits conducted in Head Office or Branch/Sub-Branch office locations. 

Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in a compliance-related environment.

Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant business discipline.

Must qualify to be immediately registered with CIRO as a supervisor for investments, mutual funds or both.

If currently qualified as a supervisor for mutual funds only, the candidate must commit to completing the following courses within 1 year from hire, including the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices (CPH), and Investment Dealer Supervisor Course.

Will have to meet other continuing education requirements as required by the regulators.

DEPARTMENT SUMMARYThe Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) is a key partner in the delivery of change throughout IGM Financial. POSITION SUMMARY  Reporting to an AVP Program Management the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading the delivery of multiple projects with high impact on the organization and multi-year budgets upwards of $5M. In addition, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for providing direct management and development of Project Managers within the Enterprise Project Management Office ensuring projects are delivered accordingly and our talent and capabilities are being developed and elevated. In this role, you will be accountable for ensuring that projects are properly chartered, planned and executed within agreed to parameters for scope, cost, schedule, change and quality, thereby ensuring sustainable change is delivered.  As a strategic business partner, you will expertly collaborate with key stakeholders, your peers, and your team to drive and support optimal delivery for the company as we continue to evolve and develop our practices.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
