Sometimes the work day can crawl at a snail’s pace. It can be hard to feel motivated all day every day. So here’s 4 things you can do to get yourself back in the groove at work:

Top Tips:

  1. Plug in those headphones and start listening to some tunes. Music can increase your productivity for repetitive tasks and give you a mood boost. Happy listening!*
  1. Take a quick walk around the office or go up and down the stairs a few times. Exercise has been proven to increase neurotransmitters in your brain that boost your mood. Even just 5 minutes will give you a much needed break and allow you to get more focused when you return. Also, do these exercises easily at your desk to keep your muscles relaxed and stretched.
  1. Speaking of breaks – plan out your breaks! I love scheduling things into my calendar, whether it’s work tasks, my chores or wine night with friends. So why not do it at work and for breaks? Try using the (10+2)*5 method – do a task for 10 minutes and then take a 2 minute break. Repeat it 5 times to complete an hour.
  1. Grab a friend. Set deadlines for yourselves and hold each other accountable. Sometimes having a co-worker by our side is all you need to get motivated.

What are your tips for getting stuff done at the office?
