About this Position:
This position can be based in any of the following Ministry of Social Development & Poverty Reduction offices:  Abbotsford, Campbell River, Cranbrook, Kamloops, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Nelson, Prince George,  Smithers, Surrey, Vancouver, Victoria, and Williams Lake.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 5 days at home per week as per the Telework Agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.

ISL 27R – Senior Data Architect and Data Scientist – (98074)

•    Degree in Information Technology or Information Management or a related field and 3 years *related experience; OR 
•    Diploma in Information Technology or Information Management or a related field, and 4 years *related experience; OR 
•    Certification from a recognized institution, in Information Technology or Information Management or a related field and 5 years *related experience; OR 
•    An equivalent combination of education and 6 years *related experience. 

*Related experience must include at least 3 of the following: 

•    Experience leading project teams. 
•    Experience in information resource management, corporate data design, relational and/or object data modeling, process modelling, data analysis, data warehousing and/or business area analysis techniques, data management principles, structured analysis and design, and documentation of business requirements.  
•    2 years’ experience with software development experience with web applications including front-end and back-end development.
•    Experience with Report design and development using BI tools, including query optimization and database view development; developing reports and data visualizations via such tools as Microsoft Power BI and Tableau, RShiny or Jupyter notebooks.
•    Experience at leveraging structured and unstructured data sources to conduct quantitative or statistical analysis.

CLK ST 12R – Legal Assistant – (98956)

The Criminal Justice Branch contributes to the protection of society by preparing for and conducting prosecutions diligently and fairly. The Branch prosecutes offences under the Criminal Code of Canada, the Youth Criminal Justice Act and provincial statutes in the provincial, Supreme and Appeal Courts of British Columbia and in the Supreme Court of Canada. The Criminal Justice Branch provides legal advice to government and police on criminal law matters and develops policies and procedures on issues relating to the prosecution of criminal justice.

BAND 4 – Director, Client Relationship Management – (98904)

Service BC Division is government’s leading provider of citizen- and business-centred services. Through our province-wide network of over 60 in-person service centres and a province-wide Contact Centre, we provide over 600 services on behalf of close to 40 partner ministries and agencies. We also have an important mandate to deliver secure and privacy-enhancing identity services for citizens and businesses, through the Provincial Identity and Information Management Program (IDIM), to support access to digital government services and information. 

BAND 3 – Manager, Finance, Facilities, and Assets – (97930)

•    Professional accounting designation (CPA-CA, CGA, CMA); OR
•    Degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
•    Minimum 2 years’ of management and minimum 2 years supervision experience, preferably managing staff in a unionized and complex financial environment
•    Demonstrated experience reviewing and developing new/revised internal financial controls
•    Demonstrated experience providing guidance to Senior Managers, Executive, etc.
•    Demonstrated experience writing business documents such as Briefing Notes, Estimates, Treasury Board Submissions, etc.
•    Demonstrated experience working with core policies and procedures related to facilities management, assets and purchasing

The Executive Director provides expert strategic analysis, advice and direction with respect to financial, accounting, budgeting and financing strategies for major infrastructure projects.   Superior financial management leadership skills are necessary for the direction, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the financial stewardship of the Ministry’s major multi-year infrastructure projects. This role operates under exceptionally unique circumstances in supporting government’s fiscal plan.  Successful negotiations with our partners will result in projects being accounted for that maximizes governments fiscal plan.
