BC Timber Sales (BCTS) is a unique program of the Ministry of Forests (MOF). Working collaboratively with regional and district operations, BCTS plans, develops, and auctions a substantial portion of the province’s annual available timber volume. BCTS operates as a for profit entity within a government organization.  Its goal is to provide credible representative price and cost benchmark data for the Market Pricing System through auctions of timber harvested from British Columbia’s public land. BCTS operations are guided by three overarching principles, forest sector safety, reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples and sustainable forest management.

BIO 27R – Wildlife Engagement Specialist – CLOSING DATE EXTENDED – (99681)

The Ministry of Forests is responsible for the stewardship of provincial Crown land and ensures the sustainable management of forest, wildlife, water and other land-based resources. The Ministry manages these resources in a manner that embraces economic, environmental and social goals of government.

The Resource Worker has the crucial responsibility of ensuring that children and youth in care are receiving placement resources that meet their unique individual needs. This involves developing and maintaining a range of placement options, such as foster homes, group homes and specialized/staffed residential placements.

SPO 24R – Navigator – (100705)

Services to Adults with Developmental Disabilities (STADD) is currently a regionally based program with a mandate to provide a one-government integrated transition planning model. STADD’s current mandate is to support youth and young adults ages 16-24 with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and/or fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, who are eligible for CLBC as they transition to adulthood and/or across service systems.  

STO-RE 24R – Safety, Compliance and Enforcement Program Specialist – (101287)

The Ministry of Forests delivers holistic resource management services for British Columbians. Within the Ministry, the Integrated Resource Operations Division (IROD) has a dynamic role, in that the Branches within the Division regularly connect with every part of the broader natural resource sector, which includes a healthy balance of economic development and environmental stewardship aspects.
