Cannabis legalization represents an historic shift in public policy. British Columbia has prioritized the goals of protecting children and youth, promoting health and safety, keeping the criminal element out of cannabis, keeping our roads safe, and supporting economic development. The Community Safety Unit, operating within the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General, is charged with the responsibility of conducting inspections and investigations of illegal and unlicensed cannabis sales, supply and production and related operations to ensure compliance with federal and provincial cannabis laws.


STO 21R – Investigations Analyst – (95520)

The Mines Health, Safety and Enforcement Division (MHSE) provides oversight of the mineral exploration and mining sector during all stages of mine projects. The division includes: The Office of the Chief Inspector of Mines; the Mine Audits and Strategic Services; the Abandoned Mines Branch; and the Regulatory Management and Enforcement (RME) Branch. The Code Review Secretariat administers the ongoing work of the Code Review Committee and is part of the RME Branch.
