The Team
The PDC Pharmacy Team is an established group of approximately 25–30 pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy assistants who collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals such as nurses and physicians. This team plays a vital role in delivering pharmacy services to clients, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and professional support. Applicants will join a dynamic and experienced team dedicated to impactful healthcare delivery.
The Role
This role involves key responsibilities such as filling prescriptions, packing blister packs, managing inventory and returns, and collaborating with nurses and physicians to support patient care. By delivering essential pharmacy services, the position directly contributes to improving the health and quality of life of clients. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Current Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia;
*Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and scope and standards of practice as outlined by the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia and relevant legislation, and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols.
Preference may be given to applicants with one or more of the following:
- Six (6) months experience working in a British Columbian pharmacy environment.
- Experience dispensing methadone and Suboxone.
- Experience with automated methadone dispensing machinery (e.g. Methameasure).
- Experience in dealing with Long Term Care/Group homes.
- Experience working with an electronic pharmacy operating software (such as Kroll).
Preference will be given to applicants who self-identify as Indigenous (e.g., First Nations, Métis or Inuit)
- In recognition of the critical importance to this role of a lived understanding of Indigenous communities, history, values and cultural competencies, the above preference statement will be applied in the final ranked order for those who self-identify as Indigenous throughout the hiring process

About this Position:

This position is located at the Product Distribution Centre in Coquitlam BC and has full-time onsite requirements (Monday through Friday).
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and/or permanent vacancies.
