The Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM), Strategic Communications, reports to GCPE’s Deputy Minister and leads cross-government strategic communications, research, marketing, digital content, and creative services. The ADM oversees the Cabinet Priorities team, Research and Analytics, In-House Studio, Digital, Marketing and Advertising, and Graphics units. This includes responsibility for public opinion research, digital and social media content, creative design, government’s visual identity, and all paid public advertising and marketing campaigns.
The ADM works closely with the Premier’s Office, Executive Council, GCPE Deputy Minister and senior ministry staff to deliver integrated, insight-driven communications that advance government priorities and foster public trust. The role provides executive leadership and expert counsel on using paid, owned, and shared media and ensures consistent and impactful communication across platforms.

Well versed in diversity and inclusion best practices, the ideal candidate uses their knowledge of the mandate, structure and legislated responsibilities of the BC government to inform their work practices. Able to lead organizational change, develop people, build collaborative teams, and foster a healthy workplace culture grounded in public service values, this exemplary candidate ensures consistent, efficient, and strategic communications that are aligned with government objectives.
