The Team
The Community Integration Services Branch (CISB) North team is an established group dedicated to connecting individuals in communities with essential services across the province. Comprising 14 Community Integration Specialists and 1 Assistant Supervisor, this team works closely with community agencies such as public health, schools, and non-profits to develop tailored social services. Their work has a profound impact by providing accessible and responsive income and disability assistance to individuals in need, ensuring services are reliable and inclusive for all British Columbians. The Role
The Supervisor, Service Delivery role is a leadership position responsible for guiding a team that provides essential employment and income assistance to citizens across the province. You will plan, organize, and evaluate the delivery of these services, ensuring that resources are used effectively to meet the needs of diverse and vulnerable populations. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on the lives of individuals and communities, particularly those in the northern regions of the province, and is ideal for candidates with strong leadership skills and a commitment to supporting others.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in Social Services, Business Administration, or Public Administration and one (1) or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Related Experience must include all of the following:

  • Leading staff in a high volume, fast paced, rapidly changing environment customer service environment, through activities such as coaching, evaluating performance, providing direction to employees, orienting/training, scheduling, or using analytics to monitor performance.
  • Providing services to citizens from diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to, citizens with mental health issues and/or physical disabilities, citizens with substance use issues, and individuals who may be in crisis, displaying frustration, anger, or acting out in an abusive manner.
  • Planning, directing, monitoring, organizing, assessing and/or controlling of the resources of an organization.
  • Delivering programs and services requiring an assessment of eligibility and, applying rules, regulations and/or legislation.
  • Working with various computer applications: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; specialized data- bases, records-management, or case-management programs.

Preferences

  • Five (5) or more years of related experience.
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships with collaborators and community partners.
  • Experience planning, directing, monitoring, or organizing the human resources of an organization.
  • Experience using the ICM (Integrated Case Management) System.
  • Experience working in a Contact Centre environment.
  • Experience leading change while working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Experience working in a social service environment.
  • Experience supervising in a collective bargaining environment.
