Join our established Operations Support Contracts Team, where you’ll play a vital role in supporting SDPR’s focus of providing British Columbians in need with a system of supports to help them achieve their social and economic potential. This collaborative group is dedicated to managing contracts that directly benefit our community. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with various team members and community partners, contributing to a supportive environment where diverse perspectives are valued and everyone’s contributions matter.

The Role
As an Operations Support Clerk, you will play a key role in processing accounts payable and receivable documents, entering approved invoices into our corporate accounting system, and maintaining both manual and electronic records related to contract administration. Your work directly supports our Ministry’s front-line services, ensuring that the contracts we manage effectively meet the needs of both our staff and the citizens we serve.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
  • Training or *experience in basic accounting or bookkeeping.
  • *Experience processing accounts payables and/or receivables.
  • *Experience working in an office setting.

Preference May Be Given To Applicants With:

  • One (1) year or more of experience to the above 3 *experience statements.
  • One (1) year or more of experience with invoicing.
  • Six (6) month or more of experience with the corporate accounting system (CAS).

About this Position:
Remote work is allowed, this position can work up to full time from their home in British Columbia subject to an approved telework agreement.
This position can be based in any Social Development and Poverty Reduction office. The locations listed above are to assist applicants in searching for this opportunity and are not a complete list of locations.
