Position Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data & Analytics Engineer (Consultant) to help design and build a modern data platform that enables business transformation and delivers actionable insights. Leveraging technologies such as Snowflake and DBT, you will play a key role in developing scalable data solutions that empower analytics and decision-making across the organization. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects from the ground up, collaborating with a diverse and talented team in a dynamic environment.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
-Design, implement, test, and maintain robust ELT data pipelines.
-Collaborate with cross-functional development teams to meet delivery goals.
-Contribute to requirements gathering, effort estimation, and scalable solution development.
-Build high-performance data transformations to support analytics and data science initiatives.
-Implement data quality controls and validation frameworks.
-Develop and maintain technical documentation to ensure long-term code sustainability.
-Share expertise and contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering practices.
-Understand business processes and the context behind the data to deliver meaningful solutions.
-Actively participate in team discussions, agile ceremonies, and collaborative problem-solving.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
-Proven experience with Snowflake and DBT (required).
-Working knowledge of Azure, Microsoft SQL Server, and Power BI.
-Proficiency in SQL and Python.
-Familiarity with JavaScript / Node.js, Java, and DAX.
-Strong skills in writing, executing, and optimizing complex SQL queries.
-Experience with data profiling and data quality validation techniques.
-Exposure to DevOps practices and agile development methodologies.
-Demonstrated experience in building big data and analytics solutions in agile environments.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both French and English.
-Highly motivated, well-organized, and capable of managing competing priorities.
-Open-minded and adaptable to evolving technologies and methodologies.
-Passionate about continuous learning and innovation.
-Nice to Have: Experience with SAP, Power BI, and AI/ML concepts.
-Location Montreal or Sherbrooke.
