Salary range for the position is $106,026 to $152,413. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.

How will you make an impact?

The Manager, Quality and Performance, is responsible MHSU data collection and quality, and coordinates performance monitoring and reporting across the MHSU portfolio. Working with managers in the MHSU Network, operational and physician leaders, and enabling portfolios such as strategic information and business support, the Manager ensures internal and Ministry MHSU reporting requirements are achieved and supports Network and operational leaders to develop meaningful action plans in response to data trends. The Manager leads and/or coordinates all virtual care and clinical information system initiatives within MHSU.

What will you work on?

• Provides leadership across MHSU programs and services to identify, align and coordinate the required data for clinical planning and reporting purposes. Leads the development of all Ministry and IH reports required for program monitoring and accountability.
• Acts as the Data steward for MHSU, alongside the Network Director.

• Guides the identification, collection and analysis of relevant data relating to MHSU programs and services and synthesizes findings to inform recommendations for operational management and quality improvement, policy/practice change and strategy development.

• Monitors existing performance measures, compiles reports to interpret and disseminate results, and recommends new performance measures based on IH and Ministry priorities. Works closely with operational leaders to understand their reports and support the development of improvement plans as required.

• Coordinates regular updates to internal dashboards and regular reports to IH Executive and Board. Ensures information is aligned with activities undertaken across the Network and clinical operations.

• Works closely with business support to monitor financial progress of targeted initiatives and align financial and operational reporting.

• Acts as the point of contact for business process data issues and works closely with partners to address data quality and information management issues.

• Leads a team, including recruiting and orienting staff, setting expectations, supporting ongoing development and monitoring performance.

• Develops and monitors an annual operating budget for the assigned area, monitors and approves expenditures and prepares summaries for fiscal reporting. Ensures project budgets are fully utilized to achieve project deliverables and outcomes.

• Manages and coordinates implementation of approved plans, proactively identifies and mitigates project risks, and reports progress.

• Prioritizes the Network’s engagement in virtual care and information system projects and quality initiatives in consultation with senior leadership. Develops and implements project goals and objectives for assigned area of responsibility, ensuring the delivery of effective and efficient services, which support the goals and objectives of IH.

• In alignment with IH’s Occupation Health & Safety Program, maintain a healthy and safe work environment through complying with and implementing applicable Occupational Health and Safety Regulation, responding to requests from WSBC, identifying hazards and communicating risks, ensuring compliance with employee training, conducting effective incident investigations and implementing required corrective actions.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualfications
Education, Training, and Experience
• Bachelors Degree in a health related discipline
• Seven to ten years recent, related clinical experience, including three years in a leadership role.
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current registration with the relevant professional college or association preferred.
