Hybrid Work Model
This position is located in our Victoria, BC office. You will have the opportunity to work part of the time on-campus and part of the time off-campus. Guidelines and requirements for in-office presence are determined by operational need and vary according to the unique needs of each business area.
The opportunity
We are seeking a Manager, Plan Communications to join our team in VICTORIA, British Columbia, Canada.
Combine your love of language with your passion for data and analytics in this new role in the Board and Communication Services division.
The manager, plan communications, supports member-facing pension communications and will contribute to the Pension Corporation’s Plan 2030 strategic goal of continuously improving quality and efficiency.
You will establish and manage performance standards and evaluate the effectiveness of communication materials using your quantitative and qualitative research skills.
Leading a team of communications professionals, this position is also responsible for coordinating work assignments as well as supporting media monitoring, analysis and relations. Join us as we take our communications insights to the next level.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or equivalent and 3 years related experience as described below;
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Recent (within 5 years) related work experience must include each of the following:
-Experience developing and implementing communications and engagement strategies or plans.
-Experience providing communications advice, recommendations, and the creation and delivery of executive-level presentations to senior executives (e.g. Director, VP or equivalent experience working with government or other regulated executives) for the purpose of decision making.
-Experience in social listening, media monitoring and media sentiment analysis.
-Experience supervising a team in a publishing environment or similar communication service branch/business.
-Proven experience delivering excellence in production management and quality control.
Nice to have
- Experience with print and digital publication work, processes, systems and service is an asset.
- Experience with creating and conducting surveys and focus groups to test messaging and measure total communications impact is an asset.
