Position Description:

We are looking for an experienced IT Solutions Architect, specialized in Microsoft and .NET environments, to lead the design and evolution of strategic application solutions. The role focuses on modernizing existing environments, ensuring performance, security, and sustainability of technology assets, and contributing to the success of large-scale projects.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and clarify requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
• Propose innovative, user-centric, and value-added application solutions.
• Design the functional, software, and technical architecture of solutions.
• Identify relevant software components to meet business needs.
• Draft recommendations, technical documentation, and architectural guidelines.
• Contribute to RFP preparation and technology product selection.
• Ensure integration, transition, and alignment of different platforms.
• Guide and support development teams throughout project execution.
• Conduct technical and financial analyses to recommend the best technology approaches.
• Identify risks and ensure the viability, integrity, and security of solutions across their lifecycle (development, migration, operations, maintenance).
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Contribute to technology modernization and the evolution of application environments.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Excellent listening, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to formalize requirements and produce clear, structured architecture deliverables.
• Expertise in evaluating total cost of ownership (TCO) and solution modeling.
• Strong knowledge of:
o Cloud: Microsoft Azure (infrastructure, application services, security).
o Development: .NET Core, C#, React.
o APIs: design and management (RESTful, API Management).
o Databases: SQL, NoSQL.
o Security: Identity and Access Management (IAM), logging, monitoring, disaster recovery.
o DevOps practices: CI/CD, continuous integration, automated testing, containerization.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for complex issues.
• Independent thinker with the ability to integrate diverse concepts into original solutions.

Education
• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Assets
• Knowledge of geolocation technologies.
• Experience in public works or urban engineering environments (an advantage).

Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role requiring interaction with national and global clients.
