Description
The Team
The Out of Care Team specializes in facilitating out-of-care placements, ensuring vulnerable children are matched with the most suitable caregivers. By focusing solely on out-of-care processes, they alleviate the workload of child protection teams, guardianship workers, and resource workers. Their efforts provide targeted support to caregivers and ensure children are placed in safe, nurturing environments.
The Role
The Out of Care Worker plays a vital role in supporting care providers to ensure children and youth are well-supported in their homes. This involves assessing needs, providing direct assistance, connecting families to community resources, and addressing emotional, behavioral, and identity-related challenges while advocating for the well-being of both the care providers and children. The Out of Care Worker offers candidates the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable children and youth, fostering stability and growth in families through tailored support and meaningful advocacy.
