Position Description:

As a DE&I and Social Impact Coordinator co-op student at CGI, you will have the unique opportunity to make meaningful contributions to our diversity, equity, inclusion (DE&I), and social impact initiatives. In this role, you will be actively involved in creating inclusive environments, supporting community outreach initiatives, and contributing to pro-bono projects. Your responsibilities will include providing administrative support for external partnerships, supporting with the development of communications, and conducting market research to inform our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy.

In an effort to foster collaboration and partner with clients, co-op students may be required to be in the office multiple times a week.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Monitor the progress and address challenges in ongoing pro-bono projects and community outreach initiatives, ensuring alignment with DE&I goals.
• Provide administrative support for partnerships, vendor onboarding, and collaboration opportunities within various business units.
• Assist with the management of internal and external communication platforms to promote DE&I and social impact programs, driving engagement and awareness across CGI.
• Prepare presentations and take minutes for DE&I and Communities Council meetings, ensuring that key actions are captured and followed up.
• Collaborate with the Community Council and Affinity Groups to support national campaigns, events, and initiatives, enhancing their impact and reach.
• Collect, analyze, and report data at the business unit level to track the effectiveness of DE&I and social impact initiatives.
• Utilize data-driven insights to identify opportunities for improvement, proposing strategies to enhance program effectiveness and reach. For example, suggest new partnerships or revise event formats based on feedback.
• Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including DE&I Leads, Community Leads, corporate partners, and volunteers, to support ongoing social impact efforts.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Must be in a Co-op Accredited program
• Pursuing education in a social science, HR, or business field from an accredited university or college.
• Candidate is interested in the DE&I or Social Sustainability career path
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (beneficial if you are advanced in excel)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Nice to have: French language proficiency
