CGI has a unique opportunity for a proactive Co-op student with strong organizational ability, a keen analytical mind, who is relationship savvy, and has a desire to work with CGI’s senior leaders to help to plan and support CGI as we continue to grow.

Reporting to the Business Unit planner and Business Unit Leaders, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to display their solid academic background combined with an ambitious entrepreneurial spirit and an affinity to work closely with CGI’s senior level management.

This role requires the incumbent to work within tight timelines, with competing priorities and evolving requirements.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Work directly with the Senior Vice Presidents and Vice Presidents team to provide internal management consulting and analysis support for key functional groups and overall business unit operations
• Support BU planner in gathering material for BU level reporting and planning such as monthly Canada Cabinet, quarterly Global Operations, yearly BU planning. Material must be streamlined, accurate. BU leader is to be prepped to present all material.
• Conduct industry and market analysis to provide direction to strategic decisions
• Collaborate with and provide guidance Vice Presidents in developing annual and monthly business plans; ensure alignment with overall business unit level plan
• Support the Canada SBU in weekly/monthly reporting and ad-hoc requests
• Co-ordinate material and feedback from multiple sources including the senior leadership team, Finance, Communications and Human Resources to ensure complete and accurate account from all parties.
• Ensure complete and consistent messaging to members via BU communications, Quarterly Member Town Halls, and Annual Tour.
• Support Leadership team to prepare material for special events, meetings, and initiatives such as management team offsite meetings, quarterly reviews, monthly leader calls, networking events, etc.
• Manage weekly Business Unit Leadership meetings and monthly Management Committee meetings including scheduling and ensuring leadership members and their material are properly prepared.
• Work with fellow BU planners to share ideas and work collaboratively as a group.
• Provide ongoing support to the BU leader, Sectors leaders and their teams.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Must be in a Co-op Accredited program
• Strong desire to learn about business operations.
• Strong communications skills (verbal & written).
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Consulting and data analysis skills.
• Ability to efficiently multi-task.
• Ability to work on own with minimal direction, as well as in a team environment.
• Sophisticated Microsoft Office tools: Outlook, Excel (Macros, Pivot Table, VLOOKUP, Conditional formatting, Graphs), PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word.
• Proactive Leader with Analytical with Financial acumen
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A keen interest/understanding in technology is an asset
• Quick learner who is flexible and able to multi-task while still adhering to detail
• Able to travel to various CGI office locations, as required, for leadership meetings
• Confident and comfortable interacting with senior leaders at all levels in the organization
• Nice to have: Event planning experience
