Position Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality assurance tester to join our team. This hybrid role requires a strong background in both automated and manual testing, with hands-on experience in software development and the testing lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with excellent communication skills and a passion for quality assurance in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform day-to-day QE activities across the Software Development and Testing Life Cycle.
• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Robot Framework, Selenium, and Python.
• Conduct manual testing where necessary to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Write and execute SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and track defects and issues.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
• Provide accurate test estimations and contribute to release planning.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with team members across multiple locations.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Required Qualifications:
• Strong hands-on experience with:
o Robot Framework, Selenium, Python
o SQL for data validation
• Familiarity with Agile tools such as:
o Jenkins, GitHub, Jira, QTest or HP ALM
o Experience with GitHub Copilot is a plus
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience in the banking or financial services industry is a significant asset.
• Experience working in a hybrid Agile/DevOps environment
