Position Description:

This role is hybrid and requires you to be in our downtown Toronto office 2 times per week – subject to change at any time.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Consults and collaborates with new business system development projects to ensure resilient design is appropriately defined, implemented, tested, and monitored
• Leads specific efforts focused on improving resiliency, performance, and/or additional operational controls
• Collaborate among cross-functional technology, business, operations, and vendor teams on resiliency efforts
• Identifies technical issues and risks and facilitates the mitigation approach
• Provides critical thinking and technical leadership to teams throughout the SDLC, in the post implementation operations support/BAU phase
• Works with the technical systems specialist and the business systems specialists from the impacted application groups/3rd parties to understand the current state and constraints for assessing the adequacy of resiliency design and controls
• Presents the architecture design for reviews as needed
• Works with vendors and third parties as needed to assess the operational architecture and potential solution designs
• Collaborates with the architecture community as needed to review, endorse, solve, plan and socialize resiliency focused topics
• Collaborates with the Solution Architects, Lead Architects, and the Enterprise Architects to define the application architecture/design
• Define configuration, data and integration standards to be supported in production and used as a guideline in new development
• Maintains code best practices and ensures re-use
• Ensure architecture standards are met with new initiatives and deployments

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Sound knowledge of Java technologies.
• Good understanding of unit testing methodologies
• 8 to 10 years of experience, working with Microservices architecture
• 8 to 10 years of experience and familiarity building modern Spring applications with Spring Boot
• 10 to 15 years of experience working with RESTful Web Service
• 8 to 10 years of experience in designing and implementing APIs
• Attention to detail
• Exposure to CI/CD
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication shills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
