Position Description:

We are Canada’s largest independent information technology services firm, and after 45 years, we’re still growing! Join us as a “Senior Full Stack Developer” in our Banking Services Division in Toronto.

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at Toronto Downtown for minimum 2-3 days per week – subject to change at any time.

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer with hands-on experience in Unit testing and Behavior Driven Development (BDD). The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in both front-end and back-end development, along with a passion for delivering high-quality code. Experience with mainframe systems is a plus.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code with a strong emphasis on unit testing.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices are followed.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and enhance user experience.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate them into development practices.
• Document technical specifications and maintain clear communication with team members.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer (10+ years preferred)
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Strong back-end development experience with languages like Node.js, Python, Java, or Ruby.
• Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, JUnit).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Mainframe experience (CICS, COBOL, JCL) is a nice-to-have.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
