Position Description:
Join our dynamic team as a Senior Financial Analyst and play a crucial role in delivering impactful financial insights, streamlining reporting processes, and driving strategic decision-making. CGI is currently seeking a self-motivated finance professional with a strong work ethic to join our corporate Consolidation team reporting to the Manager, Statutory Financial Statements, Bank Reconciliation and Interco. Working in Montréal, you will act as a Senior Financial Analyst at the head office.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
-Act as a lead for the bank reconciliation processes.
-Identify and investigate any discrepancies or errors and resolve them in a timely manner.
-Work closely with finance teams and operational business units to ensure proper documentation and resolution of discrepancies.
-Oversee intercompany reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies across multiple entities.
-Produce journal entries and various monthly analyses supporting the consolidated financial statements.
-Assist auditors and local finance teams in providing necessary documents and explanations.
-Participate in other consolidation activities and projects such as internal controls over the consolidation process, business combinations and process improvements.
-Participate in preparation of quarterly and annual analyses and notes to the consolidated financial statements.
-Recommend improvements to the reconciliation process to increase efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
– Functional/Technical
-Good understanding of accounting processes and IFRS rules.
-Excellent knowledge of Excel.
-Knowledge of Hyperion (HFM) and PeopleSoft (PSA) is considered an asset.
-Fluent in both French and English (spoken and written).

REQUIREMENTS GEOGRAPHIC
-Located in Montreal, Quebec
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
-Bachelor s degree in business, or equivalent.
-CPA accounting title (or candidate to the profession) is considered an asset.
-3+ years of relevant experience in accounting.
-Fluent in the English Language (written and spoken) is required
