Position Description:

The Power BI Analyst will lead the Business Intelligence and Analytics team for a six-month period. In particular, he/she will participate in the selection of a supplier to launch a project consisting of three phases: modernization of the data warehouse to cloud computing, implementation of self-service with Power Bi and implementation of data governance. He will work with the selected firm and the internal team to plan all project activities and ensure execution in line with the established strategy. He will act as a dedicated project contact, bridging the gap between internal teams and the supplier.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Your mandate will mainly consist of :
– Participate in the selection process of the BI service provider within the framework of a call for proposals;
– Plan, prioritize and monitor activities throughout the project, while ensuring consistency with the established strategy;
– Collaborate with business sectors to develop a good understanding of business needs, processes and issues;
– Facilitate and participate in the implementation of the PowerBi self-service tool, best practices and governance framework;
– Supervise an internal team of two and manage priorities according to capacity;
– Monitor budgets;

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

You have a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience;
– You have a very good knowledge of the Microsoft environment (SQL Server, SSIS, PowerBi, Azure Data Factory an asset);
– You have a good knowledge of BI architecture;
– You have strong skills in capturing, organizing, understanding and analyzing business needs;
– You are used to working with external partners and consultants;
– You are recognized for your resourcefulness and problem-solving skills.

Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role requiring interaction with national and global clients.
