Position Description:

CGI is looking for Integrated Program Planners to deliver software training at client sites across North America. This is an opportunity that requires constant travel for the duration of 12-18 months. The selected candidate would to go through a 3-4 week Train the Trainer session in Calgary, then deliver training to the business in the use of a new operational application at various locations throughout North America.

Key responsibilities:
• Train end-users on the software
• Facilitate classroom instruction and assist with exercises as needed
• Build and deploy new training content, participate in the creation of a training program for non-technical personal
• Present information verbally and in writing in a clear and easy‐to‐understand manner
• Gather feedback on the effectiveness of training and incorporates changes in the training curriculum as needed
• Maintain employee training records accurately
• Maintains working knowledge of the application and common issues faced by end-users
• Stay updated with industry best-practices and learning methodologies

The ideal candidate will:
• Have strong training facilitation and delivery experience. Experience teaching the use of highly specialized industrial software preferred.
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information in an easy to understand manner to non-technical personnel
• Be comfortable working in a non-office environment – client sites are operational train terminals and deliver training to blue collar professionals
• Have the ability to travel 5 days a week for a minimum of 1 year
• Possess a valid Canadian and/or US passport, with eligibility to obtain work permits for either country preferred

The following skills are considered strong assets:
• Experience in training business / operational software systems would be key, something a bit more than Microsoft Office or desktop application trainers.
• A bonus asset would be individuals would have worked in operational organizations
• The #1 prized bonus would be individuals with rail roading experience

Due to North American travel, members can come from anywhere in NA and would be required to be on the road for a lengthy period. The teams are looking into a regional approach but also understand client requirements in a 24/7 transportation environment and candidates must be eligible to work in the respective countries.
