Position Description:
Our client needs to migrate its investment and related data from its legacy systems to the common Simcorp instance. The Data Migration workstream is responsible of all aspect of this migration. The data migration process, at high level, is to extract data form legacy systems , clean the data when necessary , format it into Simcorp model , load into Simcorp , reconcile uploaded vs source data and fix brakes (repeat until satisfactory).
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Be responsible on designing AND building the tools and reports required to validate and monitor the data that is to be migrated from client’s legacy systems to Simcorp Alt module.
• The DM Specialist will work with senior resources from Investment Finance and Accounting’s teams to design, develop and test ETLs and reconciliations tools and reports to support all aspect of data migration.
• At this moment the technological stack to develop these tools is to be decided based on execution speed and resource competencies.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Academic Background
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in finance or in computer science and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Very good understanding of Private Markets investments and the all the data required to support these investments (referential, transactional, accounting) is mandatory.
• Seniority: Intermediate or Senior
Experience
• 5+ years of experience business and system analysis experience in financial investment applications in particular private markets. Experience in seeking the alignment of business and IT is the most efficient way possible.
• Proficiency with SQL tools for data analysis and data mining is a crucial asset
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Private Market knowledge is mandatory
• Working knowledge of the main systems to be used : eFront, Simcorp
• Working knowledge of traditional database/infrastructure: Windows, Microsoft SQL Server
• Excellent French and English language communication skills (spoken and written)
Location: Montréal
Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role requiring interactions with domestic and global clients.
