The Team

The Role
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and real-time recording of court events using various technologies, helping to uphold the integrity of the justice system. Your work directly contributes to providing the community with fair, timely, and accessible justice services. This is an excellent opportunity to begin your career with the BC Public Service Agency, offering plenty of room to learn and grow within the Attorney General’s many divisions. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent (e.g. GED).
  • Two years recent office experience in a legal setting OR; 
    • A combination of two (2) years in the following:
  • Recent legal office experience and education or training in a legal related field.
  • Must have experience keyboarding a minimum of 40 WPM.
  • Experience entering data into computerized systems.

Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following:

  • Experience with standard computer applications (e.g. MS Word, Excel, TEAMS). 
  • Experience using CCD, JUSTIN, and/or CEIS. 
  • Experience working in a court registry. 
  • Experience working as a Court Clerk
  • Extensive experience with audio visual technology (multiple monitors and recording devices).

This is for one full time temporary appointment until March 31, 2026, that may be extended.
Vernon, in the Okanagan Valley, is surrounded by rolling grasslands with rocky outcrops and stands of ponderosa pine and Douglas fir, its three lakes and mountain views in every direction command attention. Famous champagne powder at Silver Star Mountain Resort attracts skiers, snowboarders, snowshoers and snowmobilers. In summer months, there are hiking and cycling trails to explore every area from the historic Grey Canal within the city to the nearby provincial parks.
