Position Description:

We are seeking experienced Project Managers with a strong background in leading non-technical, business-focused projects within the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing initiatives related to organizational design, business transformation, and operational improvement.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional, non-technical projects such as organizational redesign, workforce optimization, operational process improvements, and strategic planning.
• Drive initiatives that support business transformation, cultural alignment, and structural changes within credit unions or financial institutions.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and departments such as Operations, HR, Compliance, Risk, and Finance to ensure successful project delivery.
• Develop and manage project plans, stakeholder communications, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and decision-making across business units.
• Ensure organizational readiness and change adoption through structured communication, training plans, and stakeholder engagement.
• Support the design and implementation of new business models or organizational structures to enhance performance and member service.
• Report project status to leadership and escalate issues or risks as needed.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 8+ years of project management experience leading business-focused, non-technical initiatives in the financial services industry.
• Demonstrated success managing organizational design, business transformation, or change management projects.
• Strong understanding of financial services operations, regulatory environment, and member-focused service models.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization.
• Experience engaging stakeholders from multiple departments, including HR, Finance, Risk, and Compliance.
• PMP, Prosci, or other relevant certifications are a plus but not required.
Preferred Experience:
• Experience working within or consulting for credit unions, regional banks, or similar financial institutions.
• Familiarity with member-centric business models and service delivery in regulated environments.
• Prior involvement in strategic planning, governance restructuring, or operational model shifts in the financial sector.

Location

This job may be located anywhere in Canada, with customers located in either Ontario or British Columbia. Therefore, the incumbent may be required on occasion to adjust their schedules and working hours to accommodate virtual meeting engagements in a time zone that they are not located in. Additionally, the Primary Business Unit serving credit unions in Canada is located in Halifax and you may also be expected to attend an online meeting to provide updates and for governance assurances to senior leadership.
