Your future duties and responsibilities:
– Performs various tasks related to the proper functioning of the telecom network.
– Participates in the decommissioning of network equipment (cellular modems, switches, UPS, PDUs, temperature monitors);
– Inspects the materials, tools, and equipment required for the work;
– Travels to various client sites to meet needs;
– Transport telecom equipment to Client sites
– Install telecom equipment according to standard procedures (Sierra modems, switches, UPS, PDUs, temperature monitors);
– Configure and test equipment before validation with the client;
– Diagnose faults remotely or on-site;
– Document interventions in the ticketing system;
– Analyze network performance;
– Make cabling requests;
– Support and monitor external firms during telecom service interventions;
– Regularly update the CMDB before and after the intervention;
– Escalate any specific requests to the coordinator;
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
– At least 5 years of experience in networking problem solving;
– Previous experience working in a Tier 2 and 3 service center
– Experience working with Avaya, Cisco, ExtremeNetworks, and Sierra modem access points and switches
Required Technologies
– Basic knowledge of telecom networks (cabling, fiber, router configuration, etc.)
– Ability to use diagnostic and measurement tools (OPmanager)
– Proficiency in the environment, ExtremeNetworks (Avaya), SPB, TCIP protocol, MLT, Sniffer diagnostic tool, cellular modems, and SNMP for monitoring
Specific Skills/Knowledge Required
– Good communicator;
– Good customer-oriented approach;
– Highly autonomous;
– Quickly integrates into an experienced team;
Assets
– Knowledge of ExtremeNetworks
– Knowledge of Cypress, Sierra, and Microhard cellular modems
