Secret Security clearance is mandatory (must be eligible – 10+ years residing in Canada)
Your future duties and responsibilities:
As a DCS, you will be accountable for business development, financial management, project & services delivery, client satisfaction and people leadership in order for your business to achieve expected performance outcomes.
• Business Development – applying sound BD & sales processes and disciplined use of CRM, you will knock on and open doors with key decision makers, create, uncover and qualify opportunities and ultimately drive them to close to grow your business
• Financial Management – you will be accountable for managing the P&L of a book of business, leading its growth and ensuring financial health is modeled and maintained in future engagements
• Project & Client Delivery Satisfaction – you will lead the delivery of client IT engagements, while ensuring the quality of services delivered meets and/or exceeds expectations, utilizing established partnership frameworks, project management best practices and service delivery tools
• People Leadership – you will lead and motivate a team of CGI members who deliver outstanding service and help build strong client partnerships. You will attract, recruit, retain and support the career development of team members through coaching, support, trust, transparency and commitment
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• You bring 10+ years of diverse business experience within the public sector IT market – with at least 5 of those years at a management level.
• Track record of success selling and delivering services to (or serving within) Federal and/or Municipal government client accounts is highly desirable.
• You think creatively, have a strong understanding of the current Public Sector landscape, priorities, and stay abreast of the shifts in the market.
• You consistently leverage your network to understand political and operational priorities within the Federal and/or Municipal governments, strategize, identify and create opportunities that solve your clients’ critical business problems.
• You are seen as a trusted partner and advisor.
• You understand the importance of the technical, commercial and personal sides of a business partnership.
• Business Development – you come with an extensive network and strong relationships with key decision makers within Federal Government organizations. You have a track record of closing new consulting deals and/or government-led IT initiatives and/or managed services contracts within government organizations. You demonstrate a disciplined sales and/or influence approach in achieving your results
• Financial Management – you have successfully managed P&L of a book of business (or budgets) within public sector environments that has exceeded $5M/yr and have experience building investment plans.
• Project & Client Delivery – you have managed engagements that involved delivery of large IT-based solutions within government (such as system implementations, AMS, infrastructure & cloud, cyber security, automation), ensuring the quality of services delivered have met timelines, quality, risk mitigation and budget expectations
• People Leadership – you have led a team of skilled IT and business professionals, successfully developed and coached people to grow in their careers. You have also demonstrated success at collaborating, building consensus and driving multiple projects to completion within cross-functional areas of your organizations, including with external partners

This role needs the resource to be going to the office 3 days per week (in Ottawa, ON)
