CGI’s Western Business Unit (WBU) is looking for a dynamic and experienced Talent Planner to join our team. As a Talent Planner, you will act as the subject matter expert (SME) and primary point of contact providing operational-level talent planning and assignment guidance to the Business Unit (BU) based on global and Sub-Business Unit (SBU) priorities, external best practices, data-driven insights, and sound judgment.

This is a key role that involves managing the BU’s talent needs across an assigned region and executing integrated talent strategies that support business objectives. The ideal candidate will work closely with key business stakeholders and multiple functions, including HR, Talent Acquisition, and Global Mobility to develop and deliver impactful talent planning solutions.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Talent Planning & Strategy Execution: Lead the development and execution of integrated talent plans and sourcing strategies that aligns with the BU’s business objectives.
• Talent Requirements Management: Oversee BU or regional talent needs across all resourcing channels, ensuring alignment with global and SBU priorities.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders (HR, Talent Acquisition, Global Mobility, Operations) to proactively consolidate and communicate talent planning needs and develop integrated plans and solutions.
• Client Training and Facilitation: Create and facilitate client workshops on CGI systems and processes to educate and inform stakeholders.
• On-Demand Support: Provide support for ad-hoc requests, such as RFP responses or upskilling strategies, ensuring a swift and strategic response.
• Leadership Analytics & Reviews: Coordinate and synthesize input from talent planning to present actionable insights for leadership-level analytics and reviews.
• Client Requirements Insights: Provide expert advice and recommendations regarding client needs, ensuring alignment with the talent strategy.
• Utilization Analysis: Analyze and optimize talent utilization across the BU, offering recommendations to address any issues and maximize operational efficiency.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Actively collaborate with Talent Acquisition, HR and operations to ensure seamless integration of talent planning initiatives.
• Global & Local Alignment: Act as a liaison between the BU and Global HR Centers of Excellence (COE) to ensure the alignment of global HR strategies with local business needs and legal requirements.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Minimum of 7 – 10 years of experience in professional services / technology in a talent management, resource management, workforce planning or talent acquisition role.
• Demonstrated experience in managing talent requirements and developing integrated talent plans in collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
• Proven ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and translate findings into clear and actionable recommendations supporting business decisions
• Proven ability to manage talent optimization, including utilization analysis and recommendations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, operational and HR business partners.
• External best practice knowledge in talent planning and resource allocation.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence decision making.
• Strong judgment and decision-making capabilities.
• English – business level proficiency; oral and written.

Desired technical skills:
• Peoplesoft Resource Management or equivalent ERP.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Tools: Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, PowerBI.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, administration or equivalent work experience

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licensure and certification. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range in British Columbia is $65,000 – $130,000.
