Position Description:
We are Canada’s largest independent information technology services firm, and after 45 years, we’re still growing! Join Canada’s largest IT Company as a ‘Senior SAS Mainframe developer’ in our Banking Services Division.
This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto (250 Yonge Street) at a minimum 2 days per week – subject to change at any time.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Responsible for supporting mainframe jobs which uses SAS programs
• Responsible for supporting multiple applications across different mainframe systems
• Responsible for analyzing and identifying the job flow for specific processes and documenting it, and using that for executing the flow whenever any request come for a specific feed
• Review current applications technology platform and design new components that integrate with other systems
• This position demands a well-organized, action-oriented team player with the ability to prioritize daily work, change directions quickly
• Should have excellent communication skills and continuously work with senior managers, come up with new strategies, come up with quick solutions
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, engaging peers and other departments to accomplish assigned goals and effectively manage projects in a cross-functional environment.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Expertise in Mainframe SAS, COBOL, JCL
• Good understanding UNIX SAS and Oracle
• Must have very good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Candidate must have excellent communication / analytical skills and team player
